Well it's been 3 months now and the bed is great, we have no issues. I think it is the best bed we have had and a great nights sleep.
Hole this helps others as the comments all seem to be negative. But we can honest.y state that we have had no issues.0 -
Hi all, after reading this thread ive decided to post my own view and request a bit of help too.
We purchased a sleep to live 300 series tan/blue 2 years ago. It quickly developed the infamous hump and sagging to both sides. We bought the one the machine recommended. I have contacted bensons head office to explain the issue and they sent out a warranty assesor within the week. He took pictures and measured the sagging and said we would get a response within two weeks. Fair enough bensons called us today to say they will allow us to replace the bed. Full details will follow in a letter which we can just take to a store. Great.
Now do you think it will have to be another sleep to live or could we choose a different make ?
If its another sleep to to live then we woul probably go for a single sleep zone. Now is this versions spring unit a continuos unit that shouldnt cause seperate sagging or would it be two same single spring units ?.
My old bed was just a standard spring mattress and it served us well for 10 years. I think we got taken in by the dermo diag machine, but we wernt forced into anything. This is why given the chance again we wouldnt buy a dual sleep zone bed. The comfort of the bed originally was fine.
Any advice will be gratefully recieved.
Thanks.

Its all a con sleep to live and my side and kingsdown are all the same .we paid $6000 for a mattress chosen by the computer system and its a dud.firstly it will only choose a kingsdown as the system is owned by kingsdown.secondly the warranty is worthless.they will not refund the money.the warranty has no definitions for its wording so they make the subjective decisions and thirdly they will string you on hoping you get sick of the battle .our $6000 dud has a hump,a slant, smells, and causes bavk and neck pain.we have taken snooze [the retailer]to consumer affairs seeking redress.0

We invested in a Sleep To Live bed about 2 years ago, best thing we ever invested in! It is like a hotel bed at home. So so comfortable and always get the best nights sleep - can't wait to get home to it when we're away! Only problem we found is the sizing, as long as you don't need a fitted sheet, should be fine!0

Some of the worst beds I've slept in have been in hotels!0 -
That's a bit narrow minded. Depends on the hotel.
The person may have been comparing it with Hilton, and you maybe comparing with a cheaper option.
I have to say it felt good in the shop.
But very very over priced. And the sales people are VERY pushy (at least in the Kings Lynn store), and took a hell of a lot of work to find out what it's made of.
Every other bed I have looked at, I could find out the materials.0 -
I know it's a year since the last post here, but wanted to add my experience.
My wife (16 inches shorter than me, and half my weight) and I decided on a new mattress, and went into Bensons at Farnborough Gate, tried out plenty of the mattresses there and then used the "gimmicky" machine to see what firmnesses would work best. It chose the firmest for me, and the softest for my wife. Order was duly placed for a 300, it was delivered in about 10 days and the 40 day trial period started. Unfortunately my wife was working away from home for most of that period so she never really got to test the bed out for more than about 6 days, but I found that my side was too firm (the machine had us both borderline with the next level of firmness - softer in my case, firmer in hers). So I had the mattress replaced with the slightly softer blue for my side. This was about 30 months ago. My wife finds her side too soft (although that doesn't stop her languishing in bed until lunchtime at weekends lol!) but I find the blue is perhaps the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. The only reason I came across this thread was because I was doing research to see if they do wider mattresses - a recent bedroom upgrade means we can now fit in a full 6ft bed - while my wife is shorter than 5ft, she sleeps like an octopus so I only get the last foot of my side anywayChances are we'll get another Sleep To Live, but wider and slightly firmer on her side.
As for hotel beds, the worst mattress I ever experienced was in a 5* hotel in Vietnam, it was like sleeping on a board. The best mattress was in the awful Travelodge at Barthomley!! Just goes to show its a matter of personal preference......0
