Sleep to Live Beds

You are talking about the life of a mattress here. I have understood that from the first time you mentioned. What I am asking, is for you to NAME one that does what you say, and is of very high quality.
That's what I mean by "evidence". So no, answer not given.0 -

You know that I'm not going to recommend anything on MSE as it could be seen as advertising.
I advise about types of mattresses and what is good or bad in mattress construction. I also advise on some of the hype and gimmicks used in the bed industry.
I use my knowledge of the bed industry to give helpful advice. I'm not twisting your arm to take my advice, so I have no need to give you any "evidence". You can take my advice or ignore it, the choice is yours.
If you want evidence then buy one and find out for yourself, because you have wasted enough of my valuable time. And I'm sure you have better things to do dealing with customers in Bensons.0 -
Advice on the best type of bed is useless, unless you can direct someone to an actual bed.
As I said before, the cheapest ones can be turned. The very comfortable and supportive ones, cannot. Are we not permitted to promote actual beds here then? Coz frankly, what advice you are giving is honestly useless, because the moment I lay on a turnable bed, I find it's nothing close to as good as the better ones.
I won't be buying from Bensons anyway, because I have never heard of Sleep to Live in the past, nor the maker, so don't trust a maker I know nothing about.0 -

No because it gives you a type of bed to look for. Then you can go and choose fromk a range that are made that way.As I said before, the cheapest ones can be turned. The very comfortable and supportive ones, cannot.
That's complete rubbish. All the best quality mattresses are two sided. Are we not permitted to promote actual beds here then? Coz frankly, what advice you are giving is honestly useless, because the moment I lay on a turnable bed, I find it's nothing close to as good as the better ones.
You can promote what you want if you aren't in the industry.
Read the forum rules.

Well go and buy a big brand name like Silentnight then:rotfl:0 -

I have been to nearly every bed shop in three towns here, and the best quality were all NON-TURN.
I don't care what industry you are from, and neither does MSE - just name one or your advice really is worthless to me looking for beds. As all the best and most comfortable and supportive ones are NOT turnable.0 -
Well Tim, From reading through this forum yet again, reading the responses of people and your frankly very ill informed opinions I would suggest that you maybe think about paying a visit to Dreams, Bensons, Sleepmasters, John Lewis and any other multiple you can think of to learn about their products before you slag them off, you may be surprised. As for your comment about Non Turn mattresses not lasting as long as two sided mattresses each of the retailers my wife and I visited told us that they would last as long and that only the bottom end of the market make mattresses that need to be turned. This advice came from both Multiples and Independants. Sounds to me like you are selling cheap mattresses???
Maybe you should stop giving advice about something you seem to know very little about as you could end up damaging your own business, especially if someone was to associate you with a certain online bed retailer!
Hmmmm

Ive read this thread from start to finish, and I do actually think its both of your attitudes that could do with adjusting.
I've been a member of this forum for years, and although I usually loiter on the grabbit side, I find the feedback site interesting reading.
What I have picked up, is Tim Deegan has always appeared to help where he can. He has never made a secret of being in the industry, but then again, who else is better to guide, than someone that knows. Lets face it, you will be knowledgeable in your works, as will I in mine, etc etc etc.
No ones saying you have to agree with him. No ones saying you have to follow his advise. However, if you dont agree with it, or have no intention on listening to him, why bother asking?
Its people like yourself that stop others trying to help/advise
Can we all try and get back to civilised conversation, and stop trying to pick holes in posts?0 -
For goodness sake - NAME ONE!! Or NAME A BRAND.
I have been to nearly every bed shop in three towns here, and the best quality were all NON-TURN.

I really think you should get a new mattress, just any mattress, cos it appears you have been tossing for far too long already.
In fact some might say you are first class in tossing0 -

How many times do you want the bloke to tell you he wont recommend companies or specifics??????
Advice, but no actual evidence of fact.
If I tell someone there is better coffee than Nescafe, I would tell them the brands. Doesn't matter if I work for Tesco, Nescafe or whoever. I would be honest and give the brands that in my opinion, are far better.
He says to go for turnable mattress that is high quality - but there are non.
Give the evidence, or as advice, it's really lacking in any substance. And frankly, it's very unhelpful advice.0 -
I'm glad you know exactly what mattress he means then. And what brand he is referring to. Because no one here who is looking for advice, knows. We just have empty facts.
We all wait in wonder..................0 -
Ok, I have found the Forum Rules you refer to and I apologise for trying to push you toward a company or brand name. However, my problem and theory still stands: you cannot possible tell people there are high quality top brands out there, that are supportive and comfortable AND turnable, without stating who they are. When us mere mortals just haven't got a clue where to find them. As all we find in all the stores, are non-turn ones in the high-end bracket.
Also, pardon me but this WHOLE THREAD is about a brand? Sleep to Live. That is a brand. How has this entire thread been permitted??
If this thread is allowed, create us a new thread, tell us the brand(s) you are referring to (not necessarily the sellers or the web sites), and we can see the info there.
Coz myself and others are flying blind with empty advice.
I am not trying to be rude - am just hitting a brick wall.0
