Sleep to Live Beds

Therefore, a Bentley salesman wouldn't know about a Jaguar?
Or a Jaguar salesman wouldn't know about a Bentley?
Salesman on commission, trained to sell Jaguar or Bentley specifically.
I would think that Bently or Jaguar salesmen are trained to know their products to a far higher level than sales staff in the big bed chain stores. Also they probably probably have a passion and an interest for the product they sell, and cars in general. How many sales staff in the big chain stores do you think are bed fanatics?????.............not really a comparrison is it.0 -

That said - when only ONE company in the UK sells, them it's probably a bit understandable. But another thought process says, these salespeople should be saying - if they were good - "yes, we all want those beds as we have tried them, they are amazing". But none have.0 -
While I partly agree with you, and can see your argument (ie. I am not a car salesman but am a car enthusiast), if you know your beds, the construction, and if asked about a partly type of bed and they can take you straight to it, you would have thought a salesman in beds knows Silent Night, Sealy, Staples etc. So if they know them even if they don't sell Myers or Sleepeeze, then they should know of them. So when they don't know of a massive name in the States like STL, it does concern me a little.

Who says they are a massive name in the states?
It's a sales gimmick that is sold by Bensons. If they were so good, then not only would other retailers want to sell them, but they would also be a household name.
I should think that most people who start a job in the big bed chain stores do so just for a job in retail, and they aren't bed enthusiasts. In fact the only bed enthusiasts that I know of are teenagers and students (that's a joke before I get abused by students).0 -

I know it is sold by Bensons - think we have clearly established that!
From what I know, from Bensons, they are licensed only to Bensons.
Yes, I agree with you about people probably in retail generally. Bearing in mind the hours aren't great, on feet most of the day etc.
But - if a bed salesperson knows of silent night, Sealy and the other big names, and NOT ONE I have spoken with knows of Sleep to Live, it still - to be at least - tell me something.
But I am going to head over to that shop again just to see if it is an uncanily comfortable as I remember. I don't know if you have personally tried them, but they are amazing. Odd that no one will tell me what's in the top layer.0 -
I have read A LOT from people on US forums about these beds. More than here.

Yet again you don't actually read what I am saying..........just go and buy one if you are so convinced. I'm not going to waste any more time repeating myself.0 -

And by the way, when things don't quite go your way here, you do have such a bad attitude.0 -
The same could be said of you.
And by the way, when things don't quite go your way here, you do have such a bad attitude.
You are on here to ask questions because you want advice. I'm giving up my own valuable time to give advice to people who need it.
So far you came onto the thread and started slating me and the advice I had given about a product that you obviously know very little about. Then you have selected bits of what I have said and argued about it.
I know the bed industry, so if you want advice then listen, but if you don't then just ignore what I say and don't keep arguing. I have given honest and factual replies to all your questions. So if you don't want to take my advice then stop bothering me, and ruining the thread for people who want advice.0 -

And yes, you'll probably come back with another quote from me, bla bla bla.
I don't think anyone else is reading this now anyway. We are both wasting our "valuable time".0 -
There you go - bad attitude. My point made! Thanks.

It's not bad attitude. You ask questions, but just because you don't like the answer you argue. I don't get paid for giving advice, and you don't want to accept it. So why do you keep asking more questions when you are only going to argue anyway?????0 -
It's not a case of not accepting it - it's your attitude.
Yeah we don't all accept each other's opinions, but when someone, ie me goes back to you to disagree, your attitude is "shoot him down".0
