We have just been done aswell.

A virtually unscratched iPhone3GS, been in a glove and had a screen protector on. Perfect condition once the screen protector was taken off.

Got an email saying it was scratched and cracked and they were paying £28!!!!
I noticed on the email they has a different spec of iPhone, on calling them I asked for the IEMI number, he wouldn’t give it to me first asking me for the IEMI. I said no as it was too easy for him to agree with what I had. In the end he gave me the last 4 digits, which were wrong. He traced the correct iPhone down and told me it was also scratched and cracked, and the price was £25!! I told him that I had not agreed to any contract and to return it today. He told me there would be a charge, but we can talk about that when he calls back after he has put the correct phone on my account.

I can’t believe these people. DO NOT USE THEM…
• I Have also been ripped off with this company, I sent them an IPhone which was valued at £77 and a Sony Ericcson Vivaz valued at £38, I recieved an email from them stating that due to wear and tear the IPhone is worth £42 and Sony Ericcson Vivaz worth £16. I have called them to complain about this and have been told a supervisor will get back to me. Still waiting!
I will keep you posted on the outcome.

Well I just kept on at them, I rejected their paltry offer by email and cc'd marcwalters@mobilephonexchange.co.uk (The CEO)

I called today and asked where my phone was, and was told they will make the full payment today.

They can try pulling a fast one on someone else....
• I have been back in touch with them about my complaint and have spoken to a great Advisor called Corrine who apologised about the service that has been given and has now offered me the price originally given for the phones, which was £115.
Hopefully other Advisors will take note of Corrines level of service, and that Mobile Phone Exchange will hopefully improve on issues given in this forum.

Maybe they have changed their ways, I have just received £27 for an old phone which is what they quoted me. Took 2 weeks from sending phone to them inspecting and paying me but didnt have any probs.

• More troubles here.

Just received my email stating my full functional sony ericsson xperia arc is worth £33 and not the quoted £121 as apparently "Touchscreen or Display Glass has severe scratching and needs to be replaced".

There was the tiniest of scratches on the screen which was very difficult to see and could only even be noticed in certain light conditions.

Obviously i have refused the offer but i am just waiting to see if they are now going to try to charge me £10 to return the phone. No mention was made of it however when i asked for the phone sent back.
• DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Classic 'Bait & Switch' Fraud.
Trading Standards should put a stop to this.

They give you a good quote
You send in your phone

The reduce the amount by 85% saying it is damaged!!!!!!!!!

£22 for an iPhone 4 16GB

Now I wait to see if my phone returns.

Poor service.
Manager refuses to speak with me.
• why why why...didnt i contact this site before using this utter cowboy conmen! read all the posts and my situation is exactly the same! got quote for £45..sent phone ...which was in perfect condition! basically just because of upgrade! and now just received a email at eh lets look 12.25am saying phone screen very damaged! due to this only worth £5!...i am raging at myself for being so stupid! and at them! sent off email demanding Phone back! probably receive it in bits! if i receive it at all!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
• Just upgraded, Vodafone offer of £111 was simple and quick - or so I thought! Just got £25 and told it was no working and water damaged! So mad - it was A1 condition, perfect in use everyday till upgraded. Working fine until switched off, wrapped in kitchen paper and bubble wrap and placed in their jiffy bag! Total scam - say they don't have my phone and may send me a water damaged one! Daylight robbery! Keep away from them please!
