svtg3, I would buy via a CPW company and you can then take a faulty phone into one of their High Street repair centres and get it fixed/replaced under warranty. The price should be the same, as it will be the tariff cost.

Just had a look at CPW site. Same tariff, same monthly price, but they want £289.99 for the HTC Sensation. BMP are doing it free (+£30 cashback). Bit of a difference.

Sorry, I meant a CPW Group company (e2save, mobiles.co.uk, onestopphoneshop). They should be free with various tariffs and you can order online.
Your choice, but BMP's not for myself at the moment. Just waiting for my final cashback from them and that's it.

Not the best example. You don't have to send it. They have either to repair it at home or to collect (and probably to provide a temporary replacement). Personally, I'd call to Zanussi directly (or whoever they say in their warranty).

    Agree, not the best example.
I always take things back to the store, though luckily rarely have had an issue. Laptop I think was the last one?? The store had to send it to Holland I believe for repair (Sony).

I wouldn't touch them if I was thinking about cash redemtion or gift.

mobiles.co.uk etc still want £200+ for the HTC Sensation on a low tariff, so thats worth me going with BMP...

    Will 100 minutes be enough??
If it is, then go for it.

You won't beat BMP on that tariff. Obviously then you are a low user.
If you're happy with the minutes, good luck with your new "toy". lol

I only go for free/near as free as possible redemption deals, hence why not touching BMP in the short term. I would want to see them still alive in a year or two. Not interested in handsets, only minutes. Happy with a cookie or something similar.

  • my girlfriend took a 24 month contract on tmobile for 35 pounds per month with the free gift option. she chose the toshiba 40 inch lcd tv

the phone came the very next day in excellent condition fully working.

we were told the tv was out of stock and would be sent as soon as it came in.

we waited the 28 days for the tv and when it didnt come we looked online and discovered all the bad reviews about buymobilephones.net.

people saying that they are a scam company

this gave us an inaccurate view of the company and caused us unnecessary stress and worry.

i now sit here a week after the 28 day cut off, typing this, looking at an amazing 40 inch tv screen that was delivered promptly as said in the confirmation email.

buymobilephones explained that they were sorry for the delay but due to the high demand of free gifts, they were experiancing backlog.

the customer service was not very good during the waiting period but they have fulfilled the agreement and we are now very happy.

please be patient and dont drive yourself mad
and please dont believe the statements about the company being a scam

they are not the most efficient but they do provide what they say they will.they are not a scam please dont worry

i will definately use this company myself in the future once my current contract ends.

Re manufacturer's warranty, it is worth saying that it is not a contract and is not legally enforceable. It's not that I know any cases of somebody experiencing any problems because of this.

Sorry, but that is incorrect any retailer's / manufacturer's warranties ARE legally binding (Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002)

Sale Of the Goods act regulates your relations with the retailer, not the manufacturer. I believe it says nothing about warranties in general and manufacturers' warranties in particular.
