Thanks Grumbler. Yes the bills will show the change to the ported number so that should really be adequate proof.

I just find it a little surprising that E2Save specifically require separate notfictaion but BMP don't. It is just another hurdle which some will tumble at.

Hi - okay, you've given me a dilemma now! I was looking to get an HTC Sensation XE, and buymobiles.net seems to have a great deal. Handset is free, it's with T-Mobile, 600mins, 500txts, 500Mb, 24months, £25.43 per month. But with 5 months half price line rental, it comes to £22.88 per month.

But now i've read these posts, i'm not so sure i should go for buymobiles.net! The only redeeming feature is that you can get exactly the same deal but without the 5 months half price line rental, thereby negating the need to faff around with redemptions.

So i was wondering whether i should just go for it, and if the company went bust or i messed up the refund process, i could live with it as it would effectively be like me getting the non-half price line rental deal.

However, affordablemobiles.co.uk have exactly the same deal, but when you click through to their website from moneysupermarket.com, it's not listed properly and just says to phone them to buy it!

What do you esteemed and knowledgeable people think? I definitely want a Sensation XE with a fairly good amount of minutes at around £25 per month or lower!

Thanks in advance for any/all replies!

Unless you REALLY know what you're doing don't use Affordable Mobiles. Even if you do it's high risk and you must cover every angle from the start.

Pity you're stuck on the phone; there are much better deals around on decent phones but only if you use redemption.

Buymobilephones has been around much longer, but are still relatively high risk - and redemption is relatively cumbersome. If you really want to pay that much and are prepared to lose any cashback should you stuff up or the dealer go bust then you could use them in preference to your alternative. I have never taken anyone to either of these dealers - I stick with safer sources and much cheaper deals. I have used both the dealers you ask about though - but then I accepted the risks and knew what I was doing, which has proved particularly important with Affordable Mobiles and (to a much lesser extent and only at the "margin") BMP.

It's just £63ish casback. Not a big deal even if things go wrong.

I've been looking at HTC deals with both Affordable Mobiles and BMP. I did a cash back deal years ago and you really feel like your taking your life in your hands, the price seems so good but you endlessly worry your going to get left paying the full contract amount.

Affordable Mobiles seem to offer the 3 contracts at the base price and pay x amount for the handset you want depending on the monthly price much cheaper than going to 3 directly and you don't have to deal with cash back implications, that's if your ok with a 24 month contract and dealing with 3...

Hi, I don't know if the offer has changed but when I looked earlier there was no cashback and the phone wasn't free but cost £19.99p.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Fifth and final claim in today and never thought it would get this far, feared the worst.
After 1st 3 claims had been paid I considered the rest a bonus with BMP's, but only 1 more claim and hats off to them if they pay them all!!
Cutting back until next year..............unless a fantastic offer comes up with a decent phone.

Good luck to those still claiming.

I haven't read all previous posts but I took out a contract with BMP last year and they honoured the 1st two cashback payments. I sent all the bills and voucher for the 3rd (worth £72) and they say they never received it........so tough. That's how they make their money? Does anyone know if there's anything I can do about it?

Spend extra pound on a recorded post and they will not be able to blame the post.
