As per your other post and thanks for letting others know of the current status.
As it's a weekend I would wait until Monday to see if it's cleared.
If it hasn't you could call them first and enquire why it's late.
Depending on their response would depend on whether you want to go for the Letter Before Action and legal route for breach of T&C's.
Good luck, but they have been messing about especially this year - probably best to avoid. I won't be touching them again.

I'll just chip in my 2 cents to say I've had 3 contracts from these guys (one for myself, 2 I've arranged for family) and all cashback has been paid on time and have had no problems throughout. I'll be going back there for my next phone. :money:0

I've taken out lots and lots of contracts (stopped counting ages ago at 10) and I've only ever had issues (real issues) with 3 companies.
One went bust, one stopped doing deals direct and now only do affialliate deals (now owned by A1Comms [business arm of Buymobilephones] since last December) and "these guys", who in my honest opinion are going down the route of the previous 2. When companies disregard their OWN T&C's it's time to be concened at least. Only 2 contracts ever with "these guys" and the 1st one went ok, the 2nd one is looking iffyish, but not too much left to claim. I won't be chancing another 18 month deal, not with "these guys". Each to their own though and possibly I'll be missing out on free deals if I'm wrong..................but what if I'm right??
I wish you well with your "future" contracts with "these guys", but I wish those with current contracts more luck. Anyone who takes out contracts with "these guys" now and knows the present issues, are gambling, gambling with their own cash. If you lose, you've lost with hindsight. Until and only if they get back on track, I'll avoid.

The one you refer to who went bust was Mobile Affiliates. They were not alone; almost every dealer except the big companies and Buymobilephones went bust around that time. In fact, Mobile Affiliates also had a good reputation for at least a couple of years before they went under. Before they did they stopped paying on time (first sign of difficulties) and then started employing various dirty tricks. Although Buymobilephones is only at the first stage of that there is no point in trusting them when they seem to pay late (on an already MASSIVE payment timescale) unless you are quite happy to lose the cashback. There are plenty of cashback deals with companies which are (if nothing else) likely to still be there if and when you need to sue. I'm afraid it sounds VERY familiar; even as the dealers who disappeared were failing to honour their own t&c loyal customers appeared to take out more deals. They lost their money.
In simple terms, why take the risk? Out of nine current cashback contracts of my own I only have one left with this dealer and I won't be taking any more out. I have never taken the people I look after to them either - even before they started paying late. In the scheme of things they are a minnow and thus higher risk by nature. I'm not complaining - I have got all my money from them so far - but one important rule with any cashback deal is that things can and do change. In the case of this dealer, I'm afraid they have and the warning signs are there. The long list of totally free deals is another warning sign; Mobile Affiliates (and others) also upped their deals in order to get more commission from the networks to pay the cashback on existing contracts. That no doubt enabled them to carry on for longer and netted new takers who lost out entirely.
As for loyalty, it is a mugs game nowadays. All those (including me - who have been paid late would have instantly had their claims rejected by this same dealer had they arrived just one day late!
As with investments, past performance is no guarantee of future returns!0 -
this is probably going to a bit thick but i have never bought a mobile phone contract from anybody other than the network operator themselves but i have been looking at the BMP.net as they seem to be the only place i can find one of the JCB Pro-Talk phones on a contract. i am not really bothered about the cash-back offers, freebies etc but my obvious concern is that if they go under will my contract still be valid! when i get a contract through them on Orange do i check bills and tariff details through the Orange website or do i have to go through their website?!
Cheers

Welcome to MSE gtfletcher. Your airtime contract would be with the network (Orange in this case) and would continue if BMP's went bust. Just continue paying Orange. Equally, you can't cancel your contract with Orange if BMP's go bust.
Two "separate" contracts:
1 - airtime contract with network.
2- cashback contract with BMP's
Both separate contracts. Just think of BMP's as an "introducer", similar to an insurance broker - again, your insurance would still be valid if the "broker" went bust.
I can understand your concerns regarding BMP's going bust though.
You could buy the JCB phone elsewhere and take out a contract with a more reliable company regarding cashback. Just discard (or sell) the unwanted phone and keep the sim.

awesome! thank you so much for getting back to me! i thought that was how it worked but having never bought from anyone but the network operator i wasn't 100%! was looking at buying the phone separate and getting a better cash back deal elsewhere but the contract is for the wife and she refuses to pay for a phone (or let me pay for a phone!) even if she would get it back plus more at a later date from the cash back on the contract!!
Thanks again for your help!

Hello all,
I would please like some advice regarding buymobilephones.net
I found a deal for the HTC Sensation:
T-Mobile £20 inc. Internet
300 cross-network mins + 300 texts + Unlimited data • 24 months
With the phone for £79.99
I have not been able to find a similar deal that is better value on any other mobile phone provider for the HTC Sensation (300 mins, free internet, etc) - given that £20 is really the maximum I am willing to pay monthly.
There is no cash back associated with this deal.
Given some of the issues people have highlighted with this company in the last few pages regarding payments not coming through on time, how safe is it to use this company given no cashback is involved with the above deal?
Am I taking a significant risk? - sorry if my question sounds silly - I have never bought from a company such as this before. The deal just looks too good to be true though - too good to pass up.
Thank you.0 -
Without cashback the risk is minimal - virtually non-existent if you pay for the phone using a credit card. However, I have done deals for one of the people I watch over on cashback contracts and found that it may be better to buy the phone separately and take out a cashback contract for virtually zilch to provide the bundle; having said that I have twice found a cheaper monthly deal for them with the phones they wanted on a package which suited them (despite them having used cashback deals before they accepted my help and though they are actually very good at finding the best deals with the handset they were after).
In your case, if you can find a phone which would cost less than £456.24p as a PAYT you can save the difference doing it that way. That presumes you know what you're doing and don't make any mistakes!0
