BMP's T&C states that you can only have 2 redemption contract per household per year. I've moved house after I've signed my contract with BMP last year. Technically I still have 2 quotas left am I right?
Technically maybe but only they could tell you for definite.
And I think networks limit a person to two contracts at one time.
And buymobilephones will know you have moved when you send in your redemption claim bills.0 -
Networks don't. And the t&c actually state that you can only have two 12 month free contracts in any year. If you ask them, they are likely to turn you down. So don't ask!0

According to their T&C (its not just 12 month free contracts)
16.2.a Line Rental by Redemption offers are limited to two per-household per-year.
If you don't ask them and fall foul, you can end up losing the dosh.
PS - It used to be 2 x 12 month free contracts per households. But they updated their T&C on 1st April 2010 to say the above.0 -
The fact that they limit them would not prevent you from claiming if they gave you another one. Your order is an invitation to treat; their supply is acceptance of your offer. Since you would be ordering a deal with free line rental I think you would get your "dosh" one way or another.0

I have two 18-month cashback deals on 18-month T-Mobile contracts with BMP. A few years ago I used BMP for another contract and the cashback went well and was paid in full. I've also successfully used mobiles2yourdoor and e2save for cashback deals.
I have a couple of questions regarding their current wording of cashback terms...
1). '...your first bill is the first correspondence from your network requesting ANY payment' as it says in the BMP T&Cs.
I received my first paper bill about a week after the first phone was connected and it says 'We will collect £30.00 on or around 11/3/10' on the bill. To me that would be the first bill by their definition, but in my experience the very first bill received is usually considered bill 0 and not the firse one used in cashback claims. So should I be starting with this 'bill 0' or wait until next month to submit my first claim? I have e-mailed them with this question as well and will update here if I get a response.
2). My second contract is on the same 18-month deal, but taken out about a week after the first. Because my 'bill 0' did not include any reference to the second phone the second bill I received charged me £87ish for two full months plus most of a month for the second phone. In this instance is my 'bill 1' this second received bill? Or would I treat this as 'bill 0' for this second contract?
Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for any clarification you can provide.0 -
Keep it simple. They define it so can't argue if you follow the t&c to the letter.
1) That IS the first bill.
2) That "second" bill is the first bill.0 -
Thanks. The first claim always worries me as so much depends on it. BMP have said the same thing via e-mail so good to get it in writing.0

It's good that you worry. Too many have lost the game because they didn't bother about the rules until it was too late!0

I agree mobilejunkie!
Here is my experience:
- I ordered my phone last Wednesday, 19th May
- I arrived home from work on Thursday 20th may and there was my phone
- On the Friday I took the voucher (that came with the phone) and my passport and my driving licence into work and I called buymobilephones.net and asked if I could fax them the documents over.
- They advised that I couldn't fax but I could email the scanned documents...which I promptly did
- That evening I got 2 emails, one from buymobilephones.net customer service coming back to me, as promised on a question I asked, and another from the dispatch centre of buymobilephones.net to tell me that my 32" HD Sony Bravia had been dispatched. It would take 2 working days to get to me, and that it could take upto 40 days for the £5 cashback to get to me
- On Monday 24th May I received my TV and I am absolutely thrilled!
BE CAREFUL
- Threads like this (especially the early posts) scared me off if I'm honest! It took me 6 weeks to pluck up the courage to push through with my order
- When you take on an offer like this, or a slightly more complicated offer that involves significant cashback, you have to play the game and follow their procedures TO THE LETTER! Users of this site MUST know this....A lot of the offers we find on MSE require us to "play the game"
WHAT CHANGED MY MIND
- This site has won industry standard awards!
- It took me ages to find the deal I wanted.
- I searched lots of reviews for phones.
- I found lots of people giving poor reviews for phones for which they clearly hadn't done the research into.
- A good example.....I looked up one phone and it's specification said "- Memory 32Mb internal memory - NO SD card slot"...One of the reviewers said "I bought this phone and it is rubbish. I doesn't have an SD slot"....Poor phone or poor review? Know what you are buying
- I fear the same is true of customers having fallen foul of these cashback offers....I just can't belileve it happens to people savvy enough to frequent this site.
In my opinion,
- check out EXACTLY what you need to do to get your cashback BEFORE you place an order.
- give them a call and ask questions and talk about your concerns....
- Understand that the cashback deals ARE NOT The same as gift deals...you will need to expend effort to make this [cashback or free gift deal] work. But play the game and it will work!
Apologies if my posting upsets anybody who has experienced a legitimate issue with this company. I suppose all companies can get it "wrong" from time to time, and a true measure of their professionality is how they deal with you in this circumstance.....but they seem completely legit, helpful and great value and get full marks from me.
I'll definitely be using again
best of luck0 -
