You have much to learn. Do your research on cashback deals. They've been around for years and IF you know what you're doing (i.e. do your research and follow the guidelines) there have always been free deals. Research isn't a few hours; many fall into the trap of a cursory read and take the advice of "as long as you follow the t&c you'll get your money back" kind. Whilst that is true enough - doing it and forcing companies to pay as and when they decide not to is quite different. There is no room for shallow answers or complacency with such deals unless you are happy to follow in the footsteps of thousands who took it lightly and lost all their money.

This company is offering a Nokia 2730 classic for £25.00 per month with 100% cashback. So you don't actually pay anything. is this genuine ? or is there a catch?

    Have I missed something here?

You appear to have missed the fact that you do actually pay a minimum of £25 pm. It only works out free when/if you successfully claim all cashbacks, which is well achievable, and if you do as MJ states and follow the T&C's.

Last claim in for me for my first contract and these have been pretty good, albeit a little slow in paying. Well worth the effort and just taken out a new one.

Well, well, well, this is a first, my final payment has not yet been received within the timescale. I know they are slow, but the 14 days from 07/07 is up. I contacted them yesterday to enqire if this has been paid and was told of a delay due to an isuue with BACS payments (nice for them) and to allow 14 days from 15/07. They have been good/ish so far, so LBA on hold until the 29th.
    Anyone else experiencing this??

No problems so far. Recent claim accepted but too early for receipt - shouldn't be too long. Let's hope it's a genuine banking problem. They allow an awfully long lead time for payments. I'd allow the extra week and then send the LBA if it still hasn't materialised!

Thanks guys, let's just hope it is a "genuine" issue.
I'll certainly update myself when/if received.

    UPDATE

No joy at bank today, emailed BMP asking to confirm if moneys had been sent and they replied
"In regard to your query about your cash back, this was processed on the 15th July and will be showing in your account around 14 days after this date".

It's not yet been paid, it should take 3 days max. to show in bank.
I'll give them until the 29th this time, but never again.
If we were 14 days late after the deadline date we would lose our cashback.
Hopefully it is legitimate and they aren't going down the CNM route.

Same response from BMP as glenderg got, to my query regarding cashback claim which should have been paid within 14 days from 5/7/10 but seems now its 14 days from 15/7/10 due "too many claims" -- hmmmm.
That will make it 60 days from claim being confirmed by them as being accepted.

That sounds worrying - watch and wait.
I was just told they had a problem with the BACS process.
