  • they are taking the p*ss m8.
  • It certainly seems that way! I'll give them until midday then I'll call them again.
  • My experiences for what they are worth as follows:

Have had 5 separate contracts with buymobilephones.net - first 4 were cashback deals through which I got all the advertised line rental back. Process was straightforward, payments were always received when stated.

Have just taken out another contract, this time with free PS3, Eyepet and auto cashback - ordered Fri, as was an existing customer the free gifts were delivered with the phone today.

Have also used e2save and mobileshop (way back) and have always found buymobilephones.net to be good to deal with (assuming you follow the process exactly as you should.

    Hope that helps,
    Andrew

  • Well my experience so far is placed order 5 days ago (Thursday) and shortly after got email saying delay in processing. Emailed them and was told phone out of stock. Even though the website still says in stock. Couldnt give a timescale just said keep an eye on emails.

I have had three contracts using this website, Phones are delievered as promised and the gifts. The last gift was a Wii that was out of stock, when I called they said it would take 28 days, 28 days came and went and I called up it was being dispatched that week and sure enought 7 days later I recieved the Wii, I also recieved an aplology letter and a free Wii assessorie pack for the delay.

The only problem I have encountered is with faulty phones. I called up to report a faulty phone and the customer service rep basically told me it would be quicker getting a repair via nokia direct rather than with them as it was within a years warrenty. With them it could take 6 to 8 weeks and no replacement phone in between. (nokia direct took me 5 days to get my phone returned)

My first contract with Buymobilephones.net went without a hitch, but that was for automatic cash back and from what I've read that always goes in without a hitch.

What irks me about the problem I'm having with them now is that, if the laptop was discontinued, then why have it on the website? Or let me order it at all? The other thing is, is that they simply didn't tell me that it was going to be delayed, I had to contact them to ask why it wasn't delivered.

And now, they aren't responding to my e-mails. Phoning them can be quite time consuming as you're kept in a long queue.

  • they are just taking the p*ss m8 and want u to take a lower spec lappy. they want kicked up the ar*e for offering a lower spec. daft if u accept.lol u want same or higher deal.
  • When dealers behave this way it is a warning sign (whatever their past virtues). The course of action is clear; send a Letter Before Action and stand firm. That shows you're serious and not prepared to let them mess you around - otherwise they have no incentive to do otherwise.

I'm not going to accept the lower spec laptop, absolutely not!

I think my next step is to ask for the cash as an alternative, it says that that is an option in the terms and conditions. Then I can source my own laptop.

If that doesn't work then I guess it's the letter before action option!

    fun times.

  • A letter (not an email) shows you are serious. Once you have decided what you want it is usually more effective. Why keep phoning and emailing when they ignore some and don't follow through on the rest? The are in a legal contract and the sooner you enforce that the better.
