  • Hi,

    I am interested in the following w850i phone from Buymobilephones.net ( http://www.buymobilephones.net/store/fulldetails-38433.ihtml?gclid=CKSa0_OCu40CFRWOEgod-UHMMA ).

I was hoping someone could shed some light on this company/offer/customer feedback etc.

It seems a really good deal - if you follow the T & C's !!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    ex3199.

I am almost near the end of my contract through BMP.net. It has been hassle free so far as they have always paid on time. They do take longer to pay(up to 56 days) but that does not bother me as long as I get the entire cashback!

Just follow their terms to the letter and you should be fine.

Wouldn't it be worth telling people that you don't find out there are ONLY 14 days from the date of the bill to claim and if you miss one you lose the rest?? Worse, they don't tell people that in their t&c - leaving them to find out only when they receive the phone, at which point they are more likely to go ahead? I would have used them long ago but for their deliberate deception and a LOT of bad feedback. I leave it to others to make their own decisions, but really would recommend they find out ALL the facts beforehand!!

Well I already knew about the 14 days before I purchased the contract and I have had no problem. I am only giving my personal experience.

YOU may have, but does everyone else??? I rather doubt it! I do follow the feedback on all these companies very closely and really do think it's important to go in with your eyes open IF you go in at all. If I had confidence in this company I would take the plunge, but given it's history (on here and other places) I do think it may mislead people JUST to say you got all your cashback.... not everyone would be able to get all the claims in within a few days of receiving the bills and personally I believe it does say an awful lot about a company when it has such a condition WITHOUT making it clear in it's t&c on the website. Even the WORSE and most notorius companies do that much!

Look I just gave my personal experience, he can read other people's reviews and if he doesn't like what he reads he can choose another company!

True. But personal experience without vital facts is very dangerous! I could easily direct people to places I use without problems BUT I know what I'm doing and how it works - they may not! Balanced and full recommendations would be rather better in my personal view! I AM actually interested in your experience as I would be in other experienced peoples' who use this company. I once more checked them out for the umpteenth time after your cooment. However, you have to bear in mind that there is a vast difference in knowledge between a complete novice who doesn't appear to have read the relevant threads and someone who is at the opposite end of the spectrum. Hence my counter-balance. Then they are at least aware of SOME of the tripwires and can establish the facts for themselves. Otherwise I'd feel rather responsible for directing them to somewhere based on very limited information, given that the t&c on the website in question VERY carefully avoid mentioning something rather vital! Or maybe that small detail isn't important - just as well since I very much doubt they know about it! Of course, maybe they do and I am wrong; but rather draw it to their attention than assume they do know.
  • Whoa! - Now lay off him ...
Think he's made it clear he only gave an opinion based on his personal experience, not a blanket recommendation.

Like maniac886, I'd personally use bmp.net again, but only because I'm confident I can manage to adhere to their rules - or take them on if need be.

Wouldn't necessarily recommend bmp.net to the complete novice because yes, they don't make it particularly easy. There are 100+ posts on this thread for everybody to peruse at leisure so as to make up their own mind.

In fairness, phones4u might be a better option for reliability, but their choice of free line rental deals is rather more limited.

ex3199 - have you tried www.onecompare.com to see if any other provider offers similar terms? Also, some of these companies give very decent quidco cashback, so factor that in.
