I was offered online billing and it's a great way to manage my useage. My fault, but I didn't realise that online print outs may not count as 'originals' as they aren't specifically excluded in the T&Cs.
Today is the final date to send in the bills (we've been away) so it's too late to ask for print-outs from Vodafone.MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Quick update - Consumer Direct consider that, as online bills aren't specifically excluded as part of my T&Cs and as original bills direct from a service provider aren't mentioned as the only ones acceptable, online bills should be fine to claim my cashback.
They've advised me to write to BMP stating this and asking for the money. If this doesn't work they've suggested that, as I claimed within the 14 days, I could negotiate to send the originals (which I've ordered this am). If this doesn't work it's off to trading standards or file a claim through county court.
Hope this info is useful to others in my situation.MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -

Hi, With these cashback claims, most companies do have strict terms around what they will accept for cashback and timescale when they will accept it. Normally if you miss the first cashback claim or it is rejected, you can't claim any future ones either.
As an original bill is normally needed by the cashback companies, you need to have paper bills to start until the cashback offer is all done and paid. You could try getting a copy bill from Vodafone but if you've already missed the deadline you may be too late.

please please please do not get anything from these people . i got a contract phone and no vouchers, after spending loads of time on the phone getting passed about no help all they said was well you should have recieved them , so i sent emails and the same response , i kept asking if they would send my vouchers out and they didnt . I sent 4 months of bills in and they wouldnt accept my claim for cashback as it didnt have a voucher in. I put a letter in explaining that i never got sent any vouchers but it didnt matter to them. just please please please stay away.0

Great news! I sent my online bills with a letter saying that because online bills weren't specifically excluded in my T&Cs I assumed they would be acceptable. Today I've had an e-mail saying they have accepted my claim!
I didn't even have to send the letter which Consumer Direct advised me to.
I've changed to paper billing so I can supply these in further claims just in case.
Thanks for everyone's help.

It has to be 14 days from the date of your bill.
I sent all 5 bills with voucher attached on Monday. Paid £4.90 special insured delivery as this is going to be £225 cash back.
You have to send the Bills requested.
Got an e-mail Tuesday at 12:15
"We are happy to confirm that your cash back claim has been received and has been accepted.
Payment will be made by BACS direct into the bank account you have provided us with and will be made on or before the 27/09/2007.
Kind regards,

Hey all! I have lost my cashback voucher! There were a total of three vouchers, I remember the last one said 'Send within 14 days of your 12th bill' and that is in two month!
What shall I do? The voucher is worth £140. Shall I email them and tell them I have lost it? Are they likely to send it?
Thanks0 -
Interesting post. I am however not too sure if a mobile operator can force tje retailer to accept its terms and conditions for cashback purposes. I think retailers are free to make up their own T&C however it has to be reasonable.
I asked BMP about 14 days being too tight for cashback claims and that it can easily be challenged under Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999. They have agreed that I can submit online print copies of bills for the claim. This concession does makes life a little bit easier for submitting cashback claims.
Hello GoodFun,
Have you already submitted print copies of bills and successfully received the cashback ?
Their T&C says that only photo-copies are accepted.
Thanks,

after the initial problems i had with my first cashback with buymobilephones.net I've got to send my second voucher off with my eighth bill (plus the previous four bills) ... really cant wait to end this contract with this company and will never use them again, just dreading the wait.
can i just check that I have 14day to send the eighth, seventh, sixth, and fifth bill along with my voucher, all bills must be original. might even take a picture of the bills and voucher and the adressed envelope to show intent before sending special post.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0
