    Although your Legal rights remain with the seller, there is no reason you cannot deal direct with the manufacturer if the phone plays up. As an over-rider you are covered by the manufacturer's warranty as well and indeed that is what you need to rely upon if the seller goes belly up. I had a problem with one of my phones. Took it to a manufacturer's authorised dealer and they replaced it. No problem at all.

    Well, got acknowledgement today that my third cashback claim has been accepted for my two mobiles.

    So far I have been very impressed with BMP and I do not have any reason to believe I will not get my cashback.

    I wont have a problem if it is a bit late.

    That will be their attitude too if you are ever a bit late getting a claim in!

    In fact they will be delighted to enforce the contract and deny you the cashback!

    Also when viewing contact numbers for buymobilephones.net customer service number is 0844 880 8100 or 01773 522301 why would you offer a cheaper rate call when you have a premium?

    Are they legit?

    Going to both 3 and Carphone Warehouse tomorrow to see if they can match it but doubt it.

    Having problems here too - sent claim in October, 40 days up over a week ago & their 14 days from date in acceptance email also up earlier this week. Don't like the "claims will be paid in approximately 40 days of receiving your claim" clause - what is approximately 40? To me 42 or less.

    This is the highest value cashback I've had in a long while & I'm very nervous.

    They gave me BS about having problems & allowing 40 days lets their bank process it - Bank of Siesta perhaps? Then tried to say that the 40 days is when they send payment, to which I pointed out it says paid, not processed & it is only paid when it is in my bank account.

    Surprisingly no supervisor was available! Surprisingly my request for a callback didn't produce results either.

    Needless to say I will certainly steer clear in future & I am a bit of a mobile advisor for many friends/family/colleagues!

    Completely agree that they will not be so accommodating if the consumer runs a few days late!

    For me it will be mobiles.co.uk all the way - online submission for the win!
    Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers :eek: )!
  • I wouldn't rush from the frying pan into the fire.

    Don't bother ANY dealer with the telephone. If they don't pay in the proper timescale take immediate WRITTEN action - starting with an email the day payments are late and followed up in short order with a LBA.

    Most dealers respond to that much more promptly.

    I've been collecting any documentation that I can get my hands on in order to be able to help people such as yourself.

    As luck would have it, I have a generic-looking claims voucher for Buy Mobile Phones. It says that you need to print a copy for each claim to be made.

    If you PM me your email address I would be only too happy to email this document to you.

    To everyone else looking for copies of claims vouchers...give me time and I'll try and get a webpage put together where you can download what you need on demand.



    However, my collection is still far from complete - if anyone has any generic-looking (i.e. not specific to you or your package) printable claims vouchers that they would be willing to donate to the collection, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated by all.
