they are again having in "delay in cashback claims being processed at the moment".

usually when sending claims they have been acknowledged in a day or so after receipt, and then you get maybe a week delay in payment. now they are delaying processing claims as well.

i've used them the last three years, won't be bothering in future

Hmm, I've just had the same experience. Waited the 14 days from processing date (which passed yesterday) and rang today. They siad there are delays of upto a week and call again next week if nothing comes through.

Last time, they paid 2 days after the processing date, which I thought was impressive.

Is this a genuine glitch or a portent of furture problems to come?

I have a total of 3 cliams to be paid out over the next year, before my contract ends and I can change phones.

How can a contract phone be sim-free?
And how can they have 'networks', 'upgrades' etc. sections if all phones are sim-free?

Do you mean not locked by any chance?

Well, next time look harder. Insurance is the second item in your basket, not in some small print:
1 delete_button2.gif Mobile Phone Insurance with 1st Month Free info.gif
    - and you can easily remove it. I am pretty sure it was in the confirmation e-mail too.
Re the VAT, I think you are mistaken. The prices include VAT. If you really get charged VAT on the top of the price, it's some error, not some small print. In fact the small print says:
    7. Pricing
7.1. Unless we indicate otherwise, all prices stated include VAT.

I have to say, well said.
I ordered a Galaxy S3 an hour ago off of BMP, removing the £6.99 insurance at checkout.

Don't exactly need a microscope to see that you have the option of opting out :/

The extra charged above the £22 was probably for a part month to take you up to the billing date.

There are issues with somes of these companies especially when it comes to cashback however please don't blame them for your own shortcomings in not reading the checkout contents. The insurance option is clearly visible during the checkout process.

Personally I have never had a problem with BMP except for cashback being paid a few days late.

I have had a number of cash backs with mobiles.co through the years and collected on them all. Their current online arrangements are the best ever.

I am irritated by their premium cost lines when calling them, the long waiting times and the poor knowledge of the person answering.

One phone needed a small repair after two weeks. I could have done this locally with an independent for £25. As they messed me about I thought I would get them to replace it. Well it’s nearly four weeks that I have been without it now.

So they have cheap deals on popular phones and you might get help in the CPWshops if you insist. If anything goes wrong expect to be on your own.
