larmy thanks for that. I really need these tips to keep the sales coming in. I am down to just 225 books listed, so keep up the good work!

I've added a few explanations to my books, mainly ones that are relevant for the current round of GCSE's and A levels.

Just sold a book for 39.95 that I bought for £1 its amazing what people will pay for the wise words of some self proclaimed self help guru.

I have had some good quality sales this week,not alot in numbers just one a day but some high value sales.

Becky as long as you sell one a day you will cover your costs,so send the thoughts out for one a day and then any more than that you will be happy with.

Anyone had this happen.............
With the pro-merchant I have been getting the "sold dispatch now" email, followed a couple of minutes later by a " The sale of your item has ended" email. Today I have since 6pm received three " The sale of your item has ended" emails, but no "sold dispatch now" emails. Have checked my amazon account the 3 books are not showing up on the sales page (also checked under pending), however they are showing up on the closed listings. Any idea what I should do about this? Thanks in advance.

I've noticed this happens from time to time. Occasionally Amazon have a problem with the SDN emails and they take a while to come through whereas the sale ended email comes through at the time of order. Last week I had one take 48 hours even though others at the same time came through together. I even phoned Amazon about this particular one, but they told me I just had to wait.

I've noticed I had the same thing happen last night, the SDN one came through a couple of hours after the sale ended email. Hopefully yours has too but if not sit tight. It seems to be a fairly regular occurrence.

When that first happened to me i was worried. But eventually they all came through. It just takes a little time.

if anyone is waiting on auction details from me it will be a few weeks

bulldog FINALLY cancelled my phone/broadband connection at my request after 3 months (30days rolling contract my a*se!)
they just didn't tell me when they were going to do it! :mad: i will be without phone or broadband til the end of the month due to red tape

Sold my second item since starting on thursday. whey hey!! So have decided to start a spreadsheet to keep track of what the books cost me and what I made and also what I have sold for future reference.

So I was wondering if one of you ecxperienced sellers could just checj I'm getting my sums correct?

Postage received:2.32
Total:4.31

P&P costs:2.03
Amazon Costs:1.70(I'm no sure how they work these out?)

Profit:58p(yes I know its not much profit but its a start.lol)

Obviuosky this was a book I had finished with so would only have given away. I have bought some books from the local charity shop at 15p each so I will include this cost in the spreadsheet if they sell.

Finally got the "sold dispatch now" emails, was worried as I state will post next day and couldn't have without addresses!

Send it out first class. They will still recieve it quicker than most others will send them and probably not even register that it turned up a day later.
