selling your stuff on Amazon...part three...

Thanks for new post,

Doing quite nicely on Amazon sold my first 3 items today!

Apart from the confirmation email that the item has been sold should I check in my amazon account that the item really has been paid for? whats he best way todo it?

Im so used to eBay its hard getting used to another format. Is ZSHOP the equivalent to "MY eBay".

Thanks

  • Rich, you need to go to 'my account' (top of the page) then 'sellers account' (right side of the page) - at this point I'd bookmark your page - then 'view your amazon accounts and billing history' this is where all your transaction are stored, you can see buyers emails, addresses, date of order, payments made etc.

This is the area you need if you ever have to make a refund, it's the equivalent of 'my ebay'. You will also see the date that amazon will move the money into your bank account and around 6 or 7 days later it's cleared.
  • I started selling a while back after reading thread No.1. I'm really happy with my selling! I only have around 35 books left to sell (all my own old uni books/novels etc) and say i'd average one, sometimes two a week. I've made over £80 since Jan 1st. Not bad for books that were just sitting on my shelves never to be used again!! I may start buying in a few to sell on and make a profit.

thanks to everyone for your tips and advice.

Rich, I always copy the order no from the Sold confirmation email and open up my sellers account, then 'search market place orders' and I paste the order no in the relevent box. The next page then displays your order and states if the order is complete. I think its important to do this because of fraud. I also look in my accounts and billing history to double check the buyer has paid up!! hope this helps.

edit: 1 question, if I dont click "Transfer funds to bank account now", will the funds atomatically be transferd? - every 2 weeks is it?
    Thanks

I think it gets transferred every two weeks, it seems quite regular. It usually takes about 4-5 working days to arrive and is always a nice surprise sitting in my account!

This book selling is quite addictive isn't it?

It was merged with the part two thread as usually a new thread is timed so that AT can start the new thread and one of us Board Guides can close the other thread at the same time.

Having two 'open' threads is confusing and that's why we time it like we do.

    Thanks,

So there is no need to press the ""Transfer funds to bank account now"?

I've got pending book and recall on the last thread that some of you contact the buyer just to say you are holding the book for them. Is this a good idea and if so how can I find their email address?

I'd really like to sell this book as it is another expensive one and will give me money to buy new stocks.
