I approached Amazon about changing/removing the feedback left by a buyer complaining about the price. This was the response:

"Thank you for writing to Amazon.co.uk Marketplace to bring
this to our attention. Your concern is valid, but please understand
that we cannot alter feedback messages.

We realise that negative feedback reflects poorly on you. Other
users will take such feedback into account when considering a
transaction, but as a service to all users we will not edit messages
unless we deem the individual who posted the messages has violated
our Participation Agreement, in which case their feedback will be
    pulled entirely.

You might consider posting a message to your own profile with an
    account of the incident.

This negative posting seems to be an aberration; you have generally
received strong positive feedback about your transactions.
Amazon.co.uk participants will see that, on balance, you have
    excellent feedback.

Thank you for your patience with our feedback system; I am sorry that
in this case you have received what appears to be an unfair negative
    evaluation.

We appreciate your participation in Amazon.co.uk Marketplace."

  • A question for all you regular Amazon sellers, how often do you check & if needed reduce your items price to match the lowest one for sale?
2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,
  • That's a bit much considering that it was their pricing that was mentioned in your feedback, I would hope though that any buyer looking at your feedback would realise that you don't set the postage rates and know that you've been badly done to.

I pressed thanks instead of quote - but thank you any way!

Your list of open listings is on your seller account page, you get to this from my account page. You may see that you are the lowest on a book but if you check them all out you might find ones listed lower than you. This is because you will be the lowest in the category you put the book in so you may be the lowest in 'like new' but there may be a lower one that's just 'acceptable'.
If this is the case I'd stay where you are becausee the acceptable one could be quite tatty in comparison to yours and you are likely to sell yours first because it's nicer quality
  • Anyone else seen the " Amazon is so easy thread on the debt free wannabee board?
Is it just me or does it all seem a little contrived?

Having just read it I think I know what you mean. Doesn't read as "natural" as this thread...
    very strange...

I'll go and have a nose. There are often other book selling threads springing up and I do try to redirect them to here, but I think we frighten some people off

I've pm'd one of the board guides on DFW and asked them to send it over to this board. :) It would be a shame to have two identical discussions running on parallel boards so it makes sense to keep them both over here.

This should help to stop people having to ask the same questions over as a lot of the FAQs are covered in the first post of this thread. :)

People often have a favourite board, which is great, but it can mean that they miss out on advice and info on other sections of the site. Encouraging them to move around a bit is a good thing! :D

Remember the uproar when the original Amazon thread was moved from Old Style?! ;)

Rather than merge the tow threads and create any confusion, I've started a fresh one HERE

    Happy selling everyone. :)
