Ah, gives me hope. This thread is magic, I say! Definite candidate for post of the month.:T

Dear Seller, As you are aware we have recently experienced some issues impactingMarketplace email delivery.<snip>
will do, thanks again.
You really are a good 'un ...0 -
Well I guess one a day for a few days was good going, now I have to wait and be patient for the next one to sell. Was even getting in the swing of packaging and running off to the post office!!
110frankie, I had a similar problem with green metropolis with a book I sold on their. It was pure chance I happened to log in and see a waiting to dispatch note on my account. I quickly got the book in the post as she'd been waiting a while already.
Good luck

Doing a bit of paperwork before being whisked off by son for my birthday drinks (all those years of pain pay off when they get old enough to buy YOU the drinks!) and, in my first full week of Amazon selling I've clocked a net profit of £11.73.
This might not be a lot to some people but I'm happy enough. It's £11.73 I didn't have a week ago :-)
Each month I'm going to keep a running total and it will all go to paying off my cc.
(While typing I've just had a phone call, grandson is home and he's coming out with us - it gets better. I may be comatose by bed-time)
Thanks again apprentice tycoon for explaining Amazon selling so simply for this old man.0 -
Hey, don't knock £11.73!!! it all counts whatever amount it is - our kids are still at the age where they cost us mega bucks, one is in his final year at Uni but thinks he might do a Masters after  and our other hopes to start her Uni course this year so it wil be a good long while till we get taken out to be fed and watered!
Have a very happy birthday celebration0 -
I intend to have a happy time, no trouble :-)
I wasn't knocking the £11.73, I'm delighted with it, just thought some others might think it's not to their level.0 -
For anyone who has sold nothing and is wondering what they're doing wrong...
I set up on Amazon about 2.5 weeks ago. Listed about 40 books... then nothing happened. I assumed I'd listed the wrong kind of books and no-one was interested
Had a look at my account... tried to view payment history (although I knew there hadn't been any). Got a strange message telling me my account was locked, giving me an email address to contact. I did this and got an automated message back telling me the email address wasn't valid! My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Oops.... hadn't finished!
Anyway... email address wasn't valid :rotfl: so I found another address and messaged that one. Was hoping for a reply within about 48 hours but it took about 4 days, then I got this...
'Greetings from Amazon.com.uk
Thank you for writing. Your Amazon.com account is currently
functional and you are now welcome to sell items on our site. We
appreciate your patience in this situation; in our efforts to
maintain the safety of our site for all participants, we sometimes
err on the side of caution.
Thank you for your interest in Amazon.co.uk.'
I have no idea what was wrong and they didn't make it clear that they had to fix anything... but about a day after this message the sales started coming in... 5 in one day, 2 the next and about one a day since.
So do make some enquiries if things are going strangely slowly for youMy TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
It looks like they've had major email problems over the last week or so. It doesn't seem to have been everyone affected, I got all my emails as I sold books as usual but reading what fay and frankie have said it sounds like it could have been just for the new joiners maybe?0
