Have you tried requesting on the freecycle site? I put request on last week, we collected 7 massive boxes from 1 person yesterday. I'd estimate around 400 books about 60 went on amazon for about £350, 150 odd on RISI, have about 50 for ebay when i invest in a digital camera and about 100 went in the bin as they were in a bad way. I also have another 5 boxes to pick up next week and all for the price of the petrol!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Can anyone explain the benefits of a pro merchant account? Am now selling on average 2 to 3 books per day. How do you save by having one of these accounts and would it be worth my while having one?I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

When things you have on amazon get to the end of their 60 day listing without selling do you generally relist them? If so do you reduce/review the price or keep things the same?
I don't have that many things on and sell something every couple of weeks and I don't mind the things hanging around my flat for a bit but am wondering whether to relist etc.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
Initial Mortgage free date - January 2058
Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98
Overpayments to date - £79.62
Current Mortgage free date - January 20580 -

Personally I relist after following the advice on here. I check my prices daily and reduce those that are not the lowest price so that they are the lowest price in relation to their condition. I have found my sales have increased by lots since doing that , I never used to check them when I started.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Hi becky, each sale will give you 86 pence more profit, you will be charged £28.75 per month on the same date each time, so to make pro merchant work in your favour you need to sell 30 items a month - you are well in with this. A nice benefit is that you don't have to re-list, your listing is good for 3 years.
When you sign up you don't have to do anything with your listings, it's all automatic. You can cancel whenever you like, you are just charged on a monthly basis.0 -
Had a couple of really good sales this week yesterday sold a audio cassette that I bought for 20p for 9.99 it was placido domingo & john denver together weird conbination but who cares if it sells.

Well, I'm feeling really low about Amazon at the mo. I have not sold anything since mid Feb boo hoo!! I going to go on now and ensure that all my listings are at the lowest price to try and get something moving. Hopefully, just making this post will get something moving - lol!0

That's just typical isn't it Becky! I'm sure you'll be fine though. If you were averaging 2-3 a day, you've obviously got an eye for what sells, so don't despair. Let us know how you get on now that you've turned Pro!!0
