Many thanks for the info...
Could you please let us know what changes are to be made to Competition Time, as from what I've seen on that board, everything seems to be covered.
Sorry if I've missed something above about this question.
Thank you
From what I read in the OP the only change is the order on the main forum board - it is currently 5th within the 'shopping board' - we are being relegated to 9th
Basically those that make the biggest money saves are at the top - from what I see there.Bring back the comps ending thread
(And no I don't want to hear the excuses why we 'can't' have one)
i would love an easier way to check which comps you have already entered. Maybe like a little icon that indicates rather than having to open each post to check.
There is no mention of this in the OP - that is a board issue - this thread is not specific to comps
I think they are looking for feedback on the proposed changes - not new suggestions here, the thread for those is hereJo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

A_little_stressed!! wrote: »Is there a moving house board? Not the mortgage and selling bit, more removals - prices & options, storage, van hire, tips & ideas, how to sort the kids out, general help and chat on moneysaving through the whole expensive process! It's a very stressful time, would be nice to share!
I'm not sure how that would work, because the logistics of moving house are the same whether you're buying or renting, but there are different things to think about (other than the mortgage) depending on whether you are buying or renting. But there are some queries which only apply to renting. Just thinking aloud really ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

About a 60:40 split last time I think.
MSE Andrea: Diaries Sub-forum poll
Was a long time ago though...............
I can't see any ideal solution, but something does need to be done. The board is just too busy.
I do tend to think that moving the diaries into a little 'enclave' would hurt the spirit of the board though.

Thank you for the update of changes Martin, just wondering though, there is no mention of I won I won I won, or Game Over in relation to the Competition Forums. Are they not staying?? As I love I won I won I won!! it's so motivational when you've gone on a bit of a dry spell!!!

Leave the diaries on the DFW board, they are a useful source of information and lots of people read them, they also encourage lurkers to post because they realise that they are not the only ones with debt problems. A problem shared is a problem halved.:D
Oldstyle Moneysaving - sounds better than moneysaving oldstyle, and a grocery board would be a good idea too.
Personally I would leave the travel board as it is - do we really nead to split it into UK and overseas?
Having a low spend freebie board is also a good idea because there are times when we may fancy the thing on offer and the P&P might just be low enough to allow us to apply.0 -
Why not put pensions with the saving and investments?
After all that is what a pension is!Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -
I would like to see the removal of a lot of the irrelevant sniping comments that are put on and would like people to be encouraged to use the thanks rather than put a post on saying thanks. It can often forever to read through some of the long posts and lots of it is not on topic.0
