Quick question guys, do my 2 DDs get the same amount of cabin baggage as we do ? Have checked out the web but all i can find is about infants not being entitled to it. (theyre not infants)
Sorry if its a silly question but this is the 1st time we have flown with ryanair and i'm panicking over everything after reading all the wonderful reports about them !
Thanks in advance0 -

If they've paid for a seat, then they get the hand baggage allowance0 -
On 19th March I booked two flights to Malaga for August and selected 0 bags and online check-in. For some reason I was charged £20.00 for 0 bags and 4 x web check-in. I then booked the same flight for a friend of mine four days later and she wasn't charged anything for web check-in.
I spoke to customer services who tried to fob me off by saying the fee structure changed on 19th March and Ryanair were charging £5.00 each way for web check-in. I disputed this as it clearly states on their website that "from 19th March customers choosing web check-in and travelling with only carry-on bags will continue to enjoy this service free of charge". What is strange is that on my booking confirmation it says each passenger is carrying 0 Checked-in bags and I've never seen this before.
I haven't heard anything back from Ryanair yet but wondered if there is a particular fax number I should use or an email address I can send my letter to.

See paragraph 2 under Phase 1 re carry on luggage. I will be travelling with carry-on luggage so am I right in thinking I should not have been charged for web check-in?
Ryanair will phase in the introduction of its 100% web check-in as follows:
Phase 1: From 19th March 2009, Ryanair’s web check-in service will be extended to (a) non EU/EEA citizens, (b) passengers travelling with checked baggage and (c) reduced mobility customers.
Customers choosing web check-in and travelling with only carry-on bags will continue to enjoy this service free of charge. A web check-in fee of £5/€5 per person/per flight will apply to passengers travelling with checked baggage, while customers who wish to use airport check-in will be charged an airport check-in fee of £10/€10 per person/per flight at the time of booking.0 -
Goldengirl I would say they shouldn't have charged you the on-line check-in fee.
Phase 2: From 1st May 2009 all new bookings will be required to use web check-in, and the use of traditional airport check-in desks will be phased out over the summer months. The web check-in fee of £5/€5 per person, per flight will apply to all new bookings (except promotional fares) from 1st May 2009. In order to dissuade passengers from using airport check-in desks, the fee for airport check-in will double to £20/€20 per person/per flight at the time of booking.0 -
Thanks Pompeyrich. I will keep trying to contact them!0

Have used Ryanair a few times in the past and recently booked a flight to Paris for myself and my husband for total of £100 return which I was happy with. When I got the confirmation email however, I was astounded to see that I'd been charged £20.00 for the privilege of paying an internet based company with my debit card! I phoned customer services to double check this and was rudely informed that this was correct and if I didn't want to pay a handling charge I had to pay by Visa Electron. Having had an electron card in the past and finding that a huge number of shops didn't take it, I got rid of it. I can only assume that this is yet another ryanair scam to wheedle as much extra cash as possible out of those wishing to use there service - thanks for that!!0

didn't you spot the £20 before confirming your booking ?0

I assume you are replying to my post about web check in fee. No I didn't spot the £20.00 before confirming my booking. I only noticed it when my booking confirmation came through via email. I suppose it's lost money now :-(!0
