Good of you to take the trouble to join up here just to pass on your experience which is so different to everyone elses.

I rang 118 118 directory enquires and im not sure ive painted such a glowing picture. if you read my post you will see that ive called them 4 times and emailed them twice however at no time have they been discourteous but im still waiting for my cash back will let you know how i get on

Hello to all of you having problems with Mobile Rainbow (MR). Here is what happended when MR mistakingly did not pay my 1st cashback (CB).
After allowing 30 days from date I sent my voucher and bill I sent a polite email asking where my CB was - no reply after 3 days.
Sent MR a letter telling them to pay me my CB within 7 days or I will issue a small claim, plus claim £50 compensation - No reply.
Issued small claim online for all 5 CBs under my contract plus £50 for good measure. The day after claim was issued, 1st CB was in my account. At this stage I doubt if they had received my court claim, but thought best to leave it as they never told me they were puttting money in my account and it was after my deadline. Within a few day MR emailed me saying they would pay my CBs earlier if I withdrew claim, I replied saying I don't trust them to pay it. A few days later all the money I claimed was put in my bank account.
I know this worked for me, but would suggest to any other fellow consumers not to delay in taking court action as this company is taking the !!!! and I would doubt it will be around for much longer if it carries on doing this sort of thing, so get your claims in before they go out of business:D0 -
after the trouble i had for my first cash back which i finally got after 3 or 4 phone calls a few emails and then the final email giving final notice i did finally get my first cash back claim after about 6 or 7 weeks, ive just sent off my second cb claim yesterday and im going to follow the above advise if no payment is recieved into my back by the 30th day of them recieving my cb claim im giving them 7days notice and going to claim all my cashback by small claims, ive 2 phones from them and my other 2nd cb claim will be sent in 2 weeks and will follow same deal with that cb.0

I'm in a similar position to you - although they paid up my fisrt claim without too much prompting but they were late in paying0 -
hi guys...in the midst of claiming my 2nd installment of cashbacks....just wanted to point out 2 things
1) MR replied to me via email...so for those who've exhausted other means of comms, email might work
2) i tried dialling the 019 number a few posts above....the guy on the other side said that I'd reached the "MR warehouse"....told me to keep trying the 0800 number (on website), which I did and I got thru after 2 tries0 -
Update on 3mobileshop 6m cashback claim:
No funds after 42 days. Surprise Surprise.
E-mail sent this morning asking for funds.
If no reply (as expected), registered letter to be sent in 3 days.

I have been following this thread and also the Phones 2U Direct thread. I thought that I would let you know about my experiences of Mobile Rainbow so far.
I sent off my bill on 22nd September but didn't hear anything from them so I tried the phone number (0870 801 3651) on 18th October. At first this number sounded like it was not in use but I kept trying and managed to get through (this was a midday on a week day).
I explained that I was chasing my cashback and the man on the phone was really helpful. He asked for my home telephone number and then said that I had sent in the wrong bill and that I needed to send in the next bill. He said that I needed to do this by the 22nd October otherwise I would be outside of the claim period. I sent off what was required with a letter as I was asked to do by special delivery.
I hadn't heard anything so I send an e-mail on 23rd Oct. I didn't receive a reply so I e-mailed again on 6th November and yesterday I received this e-mail:-
Thank you for your e-mail.
This is to inform you that we have received the documents for claiming your first cash back on 19th of October 2006. We have started processing your request and sent the documents for verification.
The entire verification process takes 30 days. Once your verification result comes out to be positive you would be entitled to get cash back. Therefore, you can expect your cash back amount to be credited in to your bank account by 19th of November.
We hope this has been helpful. In case you have any other queries, please call us on 0800 0973651 from 9am-9pm and we will be happy to assist you.

This HAS NOT happened.
I have just sent another email asking them to confirm the status of my cashback.....
This is my first cashback claim and doesnt bode well for the future.0 -
Update on 6m cash back claim for 3mobileshop.
No response to e-mail.
No funds after 46 days.
Special delivery letter sent today. They have 7 days to make payment or its small claims court for all cash back over the 12 month contract + compensation.
DON'T EVER GET A MOBILE FROM AN MSOLS RELATED COMPANY.
I'LL KEEP YOU UPDATED.0
