Hi everyone,
I have tried to take them to court; I have got to the stage where I have been asked to pay court fees of £50 to set a court date...is there any point continuing?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Probably not until you hear of someone getting a ccj satisfied.
Assuming you were to win, then you would seemingly need to pay another £55 to enforce the judgement, and from recent posts, that also seems another waste of money.
If you want to keep your case alive, you could pay for the hearing in the knowledge that if you cancel the hearing more than 7 days prior to it taking place the court will refund you the hearinfg fee.0 -
Can someone please help? I don't know what to do-I've now got a letter through the post saying if I don't pay the £50 court fee my claim will be struck out and I will be liable for the costs of the defendant.
Initially, when it was in the small claims court, they agreed to pay me half of what they owed me-is there any way I could accept this now or should I go back to mediation?

Give the court a phone - they should be able to tell you. They can't advise on your case, but should be able to tell you how to do what you want to do from and administrative point of view. I'd imagine you should be able to accept their offer though without paying the £50.0

I phoned the court this morning and was basically told I needed to pay the £50 but if I come to an arrangement with the company (settle before the court date), i could get a refund of my £50 if it is 7 days before the hearing.

I have a court day for 24th September but reading up about Msols Limited I have no chance of getting the money, even if I win. I am going to cancel the hearing and at least get my £50 back. I spoke to a court mediator who more or less said the same! All I can do now is learn from my mistake and be a lot more careful in future who I buy from.0

To drag up an old thread, I've just noticed this in the OP which has been quietly added. So, MSols are untraceable to anyone yet are able to contact MSE? I'd like to know who contacted MSE and by what means.
Official MoneySavingExpert Insert 16 June 2011:
Msols Limited has asked us to clarify it's not currently trading and not undertaking any marketing activity.0
