hi joanie, saw your other post as well, MSols indeed owns both Mobile Rainbow & 3MobileShop.co.uk
I think that, and Banana 1 might agree with me, persistence is the key....if you've been wrongly deprived of your cashback, it's definitely in your right to insist/force/demand payment from them. I think most of the contributors of this thread have had to, to some extent, fight their way with MSols...but i think that most, if not all, have had positive results.
All the best=)0 -
if you have kept all your details copy of bills also have proof of sending, send them a email and a recorded letter outlining your claim and put large header 14 days notice before small claims court action in your letter make sure you put all your details name address mobile phone number home phone number contract details date you should have been paid your cashback and ammount you should have got, give them a date to pay you by and if they still not paid claim via small claims only costs £30, i did above and managed to get thru on there 0800 number and got my cashback within 10 days if they had not paid by the date i gave them i would have just applied for court action, dont let them get away with it, its your money0

Does anyone have any ideas about this company, I have been trying to contact them via number on website - but it seems to be disconnected!?!?!?!. Are their deals too good to be true? Have they stopped trading????0
-
Anyone??0

there are other moneysavingexpert threads that has information on mobile rainbow if you do a search. but basically they are still trading and the deals are very good but getting cashback off them is a pain, you do get it eventually though (some might say different!). the phone lines they use are very poor and customer service isn't great but if you feel it's worth the hassle and the risk then go for it...0

Well I have just registered on the chat forum here to report my experiences with Mobile Rainbow. First of all I took out a 12 month free line-rental deal on T-Mobile with them. I'm to claim back the money in 3 installments, after sending them my 6,9 and 12 month bills with their vouchers. So the fact that the vouchers took a while to arrive wasn't a problem. What IS a problem is that I have sent them my 6 month bill in July. I was told that it takes them a month to process cashbacks and that I would recieve my money during the first week of September, yeah right,no sign. After many attempts to call them (their phones seem to be very tempremental which is weird for a telecoms company) I was told that they have indeed been experiencing difficulties with their phone systems and therefore had a backlog of cashback claims and that I'd get my money within a week. Guess what? No sign. I then recieved a call from them on Wednesday (4/10/06) apologising for the delay and that my money would be paid into my bank account within 3 days. No sign yet, but in theory the 3rd day should be monday. I will let you all know how it goes. I'm not very hopeful right now since the last time I tried to call them both their phone numbers were dead. Also I did a search on companies house website and found no trace of a company called MSols Ltd with the address quoted on their website.0

EDIT:
9/10/06 claim sent by special delivery
10/10/06 email sent asking for anticipated timescale
10/10/06 letter delivered
12/10/06 email recieved saying i would receive my cashback by 10/11/06
so far i am impressed...0
