I also spoke with Sanjeev today and was assured that they are trying really hard to overcome the backlog associated with the problems they have had. He committed to the cashback being in my account tonight and said that I should call him back should it not be the case. Fingers crossed it will happen.
I'll be back in a few days time to let you know.0 -
20.9.06 - At last, money is in the account....hope its not this tough next time!0
-
Please be aware:
MSOLs pay you your cashback from their Barclays bank account into your bank account.
Therefore Barclays customers can probably expect to see payments clear within 2 days whereas customers of other banks can expect to wait up to 5 working days for payments to hit their account.
When MSOLs (or indeed anyone) says that they are making a payment into your account on, say, a Monday, you shouldnt expect to see it appear on your account until Thursday / Friday at the earliest.
So Threluja - try checking your account again tomorrow and the day after..... Im really not surprised that the transfer hasnt gone through yet if MSOLs only made the payment yesterday.0 -
I've just read through this entire thread, for I'm thinking of giving up on PAYG and trying to get a 12 month deal for the next year that I'm going to be in this country.
From what I can see, Rainbow is a small company that struggles to deal with the volume of interest that their eye-catching offers generate (I'm here cos their offers caught my eye and then I googled their name). Despite that, they offer good cashback deals. These deals come wrapped up in a certain amount of paperwork that several people seem to have been able to cope with.
From memory the negative comments on this thread seem to be from people who gave up and cancelled their contracts before phones arrived.
Those who have perserved with MR seem to have eventually had what they were promised.
Am I reading the thread accurately?0 -
so far, i would say MR has fulfilled most cashback claims; unfortunately quite a few required threats of legal action (myself included). my gut feeling about this company is that they're indeed going thru some difficulties (technical or not i'm not quite sure) but they seem intent on staying in the business and honouring their side of the deal
having said that however, and i think i've typed this in other threads as well, MR's T&Cs have changed dramatically so much so that the odds are kinda stacked against successful claims....Col i suggest you read thru the T&Cs to get an idea of the work required of you to make a claim....i must agree the deals are extremely tempting (K610i 9/12mths free?!), but once you commit, backing out will involve an admin fee i think (not too sure but £15-20 perhaps)
hope this helps and all the best0 -
Yep, I've read the T&Cs and can see the possible pitfalls. No vouchers means no claims, so that is the first hurdle. New address seems to be out as well, but I'm not going anywhere for 12 months. It does seem to involve a deal of work, but with offers like theirs, it's not exactly inconceivable that they might attempt to "encourage" the inattentive to not pursue their cashback claims....;)0
-
the worst clause, as pointed out by Reestit Mutton elsewhere, is probably the fact that you have 15days from the date ON the voucher to send the claim in....and who knows what that date will be?0

well took a while but got both my cash backs from my 2 contracts0

i too have been having the same problems with msols, have made several calls and was assured that my 2 cashbacks would be in my bank soon.but am abit concerned about talk of vouchers, because i dont have any! and have never been sent any! did mention these vouchers to them on the phone many months ago and was assured i didnt need them! hope they keep to their word!
fingers crossed!:eek:0 -
Still haven't been able to get my cashback! Sent them another email but they didn't respond this time. Will call up soon.0
