Thanks snowy - I knew I had something else to do tonight.

MUST put new batteries in my pedometer. Oh, and the freebie Walkers one I have is useless - I compared it against the decent one my mum gave me (she'd got it for my dad who didn't want it, so of course when she offered..... :D) and it was so far out it was laughable.

    Valentine's Day, hrmph!

I thought we were doing it .... obviously I was wrong, as DH has just been in to see me, to tell me he's going to go and do some work .. and what did I want to cook for dinner .....

We exchanged cards this morning, I gave him a present ... erm, well, that was obviously it then.

We never go out on Valentine's Day due to the fact we both think it is overpriced and cr** service ... but we do normally do a cook-off together .... however, it was actually his responsibility to think of the menu .. .and erm, gather materials.

His best offer just was, well there's a couple of steaks in the freezer ... nothing to go with them .. but hey.

    Right, rant over.

Today, cleaned kitchen floor with "help" from dd using vinegar / soda crystals and water .... 3 loads of washing, including nappies on the line .. which DH got in when it "began" to rain apparently, but they were SO wet that he put them in to the t/dryer as apparently there was no space in the utility room ... so the 2 spare airers were obviously doing what exactly?

DD and I have been out for the majority of the day, making biscuits at a friends house and then went to visit a garden centre which had an animal attraction attached to it (spiders / sharks / toucans), the kids loved it.

So, I guess I could do the ironing tonight ... or the finances .. oh the whirlwind romance of it all.

    Bitter / twisted me?!?!

Kiwi, mine is a Silva pedometer(like the compasses) bought from Millets. To be honest I don't find it that good.I was wearing it yesterday and it seemed to be very erratic in the way it recorded steps-sometimes not moving at all when I was walking and sometimes recording steps when I'd just turned round in my chair! I also find it uncomfortable on my waistband.HTH

Boy,do I need to unwind with choc and wine tonight.OH called to say he was going to be late so I had to take mini judo champs to judo. That meant driving around town in the dark(don't like driving in the dark-out of practice)trying to find somewhere to park as usual handy spot was being dug up.Then did a quick dash to Tesco to pick up a few things and so avoid going out with all the kids tomorrow.Dd kept on jabbering away while I was trying to reverse into parking spots 'remember when you crashed your car in the car park mummy and you said a swearword?' That was half term too

Anyway got back to find OH,quickly ate supper(fortunately I'd got leftover goulash in oven already),took dd up for her bath and discovered she had worms  Oh joy....only 3 ovex tablets in the house,so OH has gone to get ovex and wine.Who says romance is dead?

Lucky I had the foresight to buy a big bar of Green and Black's Ginger chocolate this morning. :heartsmil

    I got a Valentine's card :o

From somebody who isn't my boyfriend :o

It's from an elderly male friend who I know has had a crush on me since the first time we met, about 15 months ago :o

For some reason I've always had old men falling in love with me with no encouragement :o

I know he knows perfectly well that nothing will come of it and I feel really bad for him now :o

zed I am going to join you in the bitter and twisted area. Today I have been sorting out truly grotty tool cupboards and sorting all tools and gardening stuff into my 'new' filing cabinet. I have cleaned carpets, sorted out the dining room and DD's bedroom which was a complete pigsty, DH cooked tea and went to bed at 7.30 as his cold got the better of him again. :(

At least I got a card, choccies and series one of Monk this morning along with coffee and scrambled egg on toast in bed.
