At least I got a card, choccies and series one of Monk this morning along with coffee and scrambled egg on toast in bed.

You got choccies, series one AND brekkie in bed?

Last time I got brekkie in bed I was preggers with DS1. After that, I was always told "well, you're awake anyway, so you might as well get the breakfast"

And before anyone says "well, what would you do without them?"......... :D

ummm well I've had an uneventful afternoon in the housework department. Was going to go out for a walk but my best friend said she was going to pop in at some point in the afternoon so I waited for her and she ddin't come until three so that meant no walk into town but it was nice to see her.

Made home made cottage pie very nice if I do say so myself and enough left for tomorrows dinner as well, also made flapjack ummm eaten about half of it already oopps.

Didn't have time to tidy up after my godson and munch had wrecked the joint so as soon as DH came in he complained about the mess...not very romatic...was a bit annoyed at him because as soon as my friend had left I went straight into the kitchen to get dinner ready in time. However he had a burst of energy and after telling him all about the energy crisis this morning he fixed the remote thermostate for the central heating onto the wall to stop munch playing with it and changing the temperature lol. He also fixed the front upvc door which hadn't been fitted properly for 8 years and was very drafty then went and checked the back door. After doing all that and feeling very vertious (sp?) he then cleaned the top cupboards which I hadn't managed to do.....gob smacked is one word for it, normally he comes home from work stressed out and vegs in front of the telly until its time to give munch her evening bath, so I was mardi to begin with but also highly impressed by his sudden burst of diy energy (he does work hard so I don't begrudge him taking time out bless him but it does take him about a year to do any diy I ask him to do for me). He sent me an ecard before he left to go out this evening which was very cute I read it after I had finished putting munch to bed. I remember to make him a card it was a bit simple lol but what I wrote inside was nice.

Trying to sort out my paypal account in readiness for my ebay items which finish on Sunday night hopefully they will all do well. :)

Right best go was going to do the ironing that I was going to do last night and this afternoon but might just sit around a bit more. :D

I know its a bit late in the day to post but here goes...

Got to work today, to find one of my male bosses sending me snotty emails and generally being an !!!!!!. Have approached my manager about it and she will be having a word. In the mean while I just feel hitting him somewhere whre it really hurts. I then rang my mum to find out she had got back from Casualty with my DS who had tripped over his toy tractor, and pulled his leg out of him knee joint. he then had to have it pushed back into place by the doctor. So I got home to find DS okay, and managed to book tomorrow off work so I can have a break from a certain person at work. Thanks for putting up with me ranting on aobut things.

On a good note, my DH bought me a Indian meal and a bottle of wine, and a nice card to make my day feel special:happyhear . Its nice to know that i've got someone who really cares about me. I've also got to say that my mum has been one in a million, and has given me a hand around the house, and has helped me sort all my stuff out. Have arranged for a big bag of "junk" to go on the weekend. Hope you have all had a nice valentines day, and if not hope tomorrow is better for all of you (and me)...

LOL POwie

Oi SnowyOwl!!!! After all I said about it being from an ELDERLY friend - what on earth will Squeaky think I'm trying to say :rotfl:

More to the point, you lot will all think I had an ulterior motive in posting a photo of me last week :o :rotfl:

(ps Squeaks - i'd be honoured if your greeting WAS for me - as would the rest of us, i'm sure)

Ahhh I think it's really sweet that you got a Valentine card....so what if it's from someone older!? The person who sent it to you is flirting and flattering you. You're lucky someone thinks so highly of you to be honest and say what's on their mind. And kind of sweet that an older gent can still have that certain twinkle in his eye.

And as you say, it would be lovely to be the recipient of Squeaky's greeting. Now who could it be? I notice he hasn't denied anything...Squeaky....come on, defo need a clue here.

Oh this is so much more fun than flipping history homework...I still haven't written a single word...gotta get back to it. See you all tomorrow, sleep well.

Morning all,

Well, Valentine's Day didn't turn out so bad after all ... DH re-appeared and told me he wanted to cook, so he did.

To quote him:

Panfried free range chicken breasts wrapped in oak smoked bacon, served with maris piper mashed potatoes, cheese sauce and a medley of "seasonal" vegetables ....

Ooh, get him :)

DD has slept in the bed with me last night, and DH has de-camped to the spare room for some sleep ...

Today I think takes DD and I to meander to the market in search of veg, this afternoon we may go to story time at the library.

I made a loaf of oat and raisin bread in the BM yesterday with a different type of flour to the one I normally use (used the Allinsons "wholesome" white, BOGOF Tesco) and it was a disaster. I normally use Dove Farm white.

B - Porridge
L - Soup
D - Dunno yet.
