Morning Taplady...hope you managed to get some ZZZZZZs in the end. Am suffering the insomniacs too, but did have around four hours sleep so not as frustrating as what you're experiencing.
I hope everyone is well and happy today and that the little MSEers who were under the weather are on the mend.
All is quiet in the land of SnowyOwl - just can't sleep very well. Did some unexpected overtime last night and have more scheduled for Thursday night. So on top of college class on Monday and Wednesday I will be very glad when the weekend arrives.
B=porridge, pumpkin seeds, oatbran, raisins, skimmed milk (angelic huh!?)
L=home made soup (mushroom, celery & potato all chucked in together with some stock then blended...defo not a recipe but it's so good!) Will also have a slice of bread for dipping
D=urmmmm....hmmmm...errrrr.....dunno actually...college until 9.30 pm so it'll be something v.quick at about 10.00 pm. Probably a scoop of pasta mixed up with some sardines, tomato and a wee drop of olive oil
Snacks=I have half a mountain of fruit on my work desk to nibble on. Also a slice of home made malt loaf from Squeaky's index. However if I am a naughty SnowyOwl I'll supplement this with a packet of cheese n onion and/or a bar of chocolate. Sigh...it's a college night and can't fit in a meal at a decent time - the half hour before college is my red alert unhealthy eating danger time.
Cheerio everyone, have the best Wednesday you have ever had.

Hello :hello:,
It's 4pm wed arv here. I had a little nap when I got home from work. The humidity is so high here today it really zaps your energy. Probably would have slept for 3/4 hour but it really recharges the batterys. Work was busy. I've just brought in the washing so will go and fold that shortly. Was given a lovely rockmelon so will cut them up for dessert with icecream tonight. I'm making spag bolg for tea.
I hope to have a catch up day at home tomorrow. I want to do some baking, bookwork & the lawn needs mowing again. Sigh. Will try and do the lawn as early as possible to beat the heat. We've got 1/2 acre so it takes about 1 hour. (no breaks) Need to send out some thankyou cards and write a few letters. But I hope your wednesday is a happy one, mine is nearly over.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning All,
Its a cold one here again today. Nowt planned today except tackeling the everest of dirty laundry that has sprung up overnight. The bed linen needs a change too so might so that first so ithas more of a chance to dry.
Driving lesson last night went well, have another tonight which we are using as a mock test, tomorrow is the cut off day for delaying my test so we need to see if I am prepared. Having said that I'll go for it regardless of what the instructor says, surely 50+ lessons at £18.50 a time (!!!) are more than enough. The pass rate around here is just 43% though.
Managed to pack and label 8 more boxes yesterday so they are stored in the loft now. 4 weeks to go- EEEEKKKK.
Off to make some coffee and have a quick browse before making brekkie for kids.
Have a good one,
Al.
PS-I have received some money off coupons for the daily mail in the post, goodness knows why as we've never bought it?!? They are worth around £10.60, with 20p off each weekday, 35p off each sat and 50p off each sun from now until the 10th of March.WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -
Morning folks ,
I'm bright-eyed and bushy-tailed this morning .For once, in, I can't remember when, I had a good night's sleep, i.e. 6 hours uninterupted. This makes me a happy bunny, and I am all fired up to get stuck into some housework this morning. :j I am going to make some Liver and bacon in my SC today so that takes care of dinner tonight. I have some tiny new spuds that can get chucked in as well. I love all-in-one dinners ,saves on the washing up of pots and pans .
Put all my coursework into college yesterday, so I have a weekoff from homework. :j It's the first of the February today so it won't be long before spring is here ,another good reason to be cheerful.:T
Hope all you good peeps have a good day as well.0 -
Morning!
Managed to fall asleep last night without incident which is good, im stil feeling a bit tired though. I forgot to defrost my muffins for breakfast and I dont fancy hm soup for lunch, so I might take some of the lamb stew thing i put in the slowcooker overnight, id defrosted a load so figured the easiest thing to do with it was bung it in with a load of other stuff and see what happened. Looks and smells alright!
I hope today is a good day again at work, Id like a nice consistent run of great work so I can polish my halo in front of my boss :A and hopefully look at advancing a bit and discuss career plans further.
Dinner this evening will be fish pie (im going to make sure I take fish out of the freezer instead of anything else!) and a conversation with the boyf about finances as we really need to get organised and 'on the same page' as I really need to see some effort from him before I either financially sink or throw him out!
Hope you have a good day all!

Morning folks.
Another cold morning. Feel very tired today. Didn't have a good sleep at all. I am sure its cause I ate cheese before I went to bed!! Weird dreams all night. The one I remember was that it was Government Legislation that people were only allowed to sleep one night a week and they had to sleep long enough to make sure it lasted the week. What a weirdo!!!
Yesterday I asked hubby to clean the bathroom. When I came in last night I assumed because it didn't look clean that he hadn't done it so asked him to do it today. Well did he not try and say that he had cleaned it.This turned into both of us screaming at each other. Turns out I hadn't made it clear enough what he had to do. He thought it was just the bath that needed cleaned!!! Why can't he see what needs done the same as me?!?!?
Got a sale leaflet a few days ago for my Empire Catalogue. Had a scan through and managed to order Timberland boots for Stepson reduced from £64.99 to £22.99 and Kickers boots for myself from £69.99 to £20.99. Combined with a discount code that I found on here I got them both for £23.98. What a bargain.
Dinner tonight is haggis, neeps and tatties. Only the haggis needs cooking. The rest has been cooked and frozen so just needs reheating. Nice and quick and easy.
Well must go and get ready for another day at work.

Morning
Not a good nights sleep, but never mind.
WM on-hopefully will be hung outside. DW empty & toilet cleaned. Everything pretty much tidy and clean:D
DD off school again, her teacher called last night and said there were a couple of children who have been off nearly 3 weeks:eek: so she said to see how DD is on Thursday and keep her home another day....of course DD thought that was great!
Must go through my OU course today/tomorrow and find out when and where my 1st tutorial isand when my 1st TMA is needed by. Ive already started reading through the books etc but still quite daunting. OH is doing his web design certificate, so we have said about having 1-1.5hrs each morning once DD is at school to just do our courses, then we can have the rest of the day for normal stuff IYKWIM. Im having an assessment done to see if they can offer extra help with me being disabled-must call them today BTW.
Have a couple of other calls to make.
Also, had a call yesterday from my OT and I have a surveyor coming next wednesday to work out whether they can put a walk in shower/or cubicle in my bathroom as its difficult to get and out of. Apparently, we wont have to contribute to this as we're on Income Support. It seems a little strange receiving all this help for either small contributions or nothing, but I cant moan and have been very lucky and am soooo grateful as this is all making my life easier, which in turn gives me a little more energy to do other things.
Just about to put a lamb stew in SC. Have diced lamb, onion, carrots, swede, new potatoes that need using, tin of baked beans with the sauce and a packet mix that I get for 15p Lidls. Then about an hr before needed I put in a few frozen peas and sit some dumplings on top...yummy.
OH has a few errands to do-need spuds and mayventure out to iceland and lidls, if OH is up to pushing me in wheelchair as I hurt all over today and can just about type one fingered:rolleyes:
Breakie: Bacon Roll
Lunch: Soup
Dinner:Lamb Stew & Dumplings
Will catch up later.
Have a great day

Morning everyone. I managed to fall asleep straight away last night. Now we have moved bedrooms I am having to keep the TV on all night to drown out the ticking noise of the central heating in the cupboard next door. This is hardly energy conserving so I think I may have to buy myself ear plugs. I can fall asleep listening to VH1 on the tv but not the chinese water torture of that loud tick, tick, tick!!
Never mind, I was up at 6 and managed a nice cup of coffee in bed before I got up properly. I've even made the bed
Have a good day everyone.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
