Morning
just a quickie for now as expecting a friend and her 2 youngest.
Was a busy bee last night too - made a huge vat of leek and spud soup - will liquidize it in a minute. Got through the ironing mountain, watched my prog I'd videoed last week and succumbed to a bag of cheese and onion crisps (leftover from xmas) - my mouth now tastes like the bottom of a budgies cage (erm, not that i've TASTED one you understand :rotfl:) I think that I now use so little salt that my bod was maybe crying out for some? (Ok, or maybe I was being a piggy)
You'd not think I'd cleaned the carpets yesterdayI need to vacuum them now - lots of crumbs that get there all by themselves, you understand
I'm just defrosting some chicken for tea - will do it in a creamy sauce in SC. Want to go into town the aft and have a browse around the library. May even do a tour of the charity shops too. Need to go to the big Tesco's as I have a pair of jeans to return. Don't think I need to buy any food.
Ok, must dash and get ready before friend arrives
See y'all

morning all
A really bad bad bad start to the dayI really don't like the postie anymore for bringing such bad news.
As some of you may know We were at the top of the list for a house with the
local housing assciation. Well we are now 6th, It may not seem much , but has left me in tears, I am so desparte to get out of this poxy flat and really thought we would be in the next few weeks, but that has just sodded allour plans, the ********* how can they get are hopes up just to do that. Don't know what I am going to tell our 6 year old when she gets home. thinking we were close to getting a house was the only thing keeping my depression at bay.
I really don't know how I am going to cope having to stay in this place.
any way must go and do a stash and dash b4 my friend turns up, will catch up later if I feel up to it.

I'm too engrossed in this web site. I was too busy reading the rest of this post to notice that the kittens were being too quiet, and they have managed to tip over the box containing my latch hook rug wool, and got it all over the living room floor. My fault for leaving it out, but they are getting quite mischevious. I think it may be time for them to go explore the garden again, as i never get anything done when they are in the house. Usually because one of them attaches to each leg, and believe me, now they are 5months old they are getting very heavy, and it hurts.
Need to tidy the office today - the paperwork always sets off in one place, but me and DH are awful at leaving whatever we have been using out. I want to have a nice bath today, and wash my hair. Also, it will take me a while to prepare a roast dinner tonight, as we have very little veg and i will have to go out and get more.
Have an interesting day everyone. Hope you are all feeling well enough to enjoy it.

Morning all, was having a good day with all going to plan, WM done and clothes being aired, ironing from yesterday done, DW on and just about to be emptied, all floors hoovered and washed then DS (13months) decided to play with a box of ready brek and trample through the house - my 3yo came downstairs and thought it'd been snowing!!!!!!
Having some quiet time with DD whilst DS sleeps then its off to drop one at nursery and go to mums and tots with the other. Trying hard to keep away from the shops, have realised that Im buying stuff just for the sake of it - think it gets me out the house to go to the shops - sounds really bad I know but I suppose the first step to stopping is to admit it.
