My shopping is being delivered in about an hour so I really must get bathed and dressed
DD is just having her breakie, and I have a mountain of washing, drying, ironing etc to do....
I've just had a phonecall from Dyson customer service saying they are going to send me a new hose and stair tool for my hoover free of charge, it's the third time the hose has split - so I'm really pleased :T No excuse now for not hoovering them stairs :rotfl:

Good morning everyone
Well, after a very rainy & windy night it is now a lovely sunny morning here, so I am hoping to get the washing hung up outside. Need to unload d/w and then do a general dust/vac/declutter. The house isn't exactly dirty but just wants a little bit more care taken. What with being busy & having been unwell things have got a bit out of hand.
It didn't help that DS wanted to make candles yesterday afternoon, which is a fairly messy sort of business!
Anyway, just wanted to wish you all a good day.0 -
Morning all,
Hugs to everyone that did not get sleep or as feeling ill.
Not much happening here today. I need to hover the house as i did not get round to doing it last night.
DS has a eye test this morning.
Really nice and sunny here so I think a trip to the park is on the cards at some point today.
Breakfast: cup of orange juice
Lunch: Sandwich
Dinner: HM pasta and sauce
Catch you all laters
bye :hello: :hello:0 -
Morning all
Doing very well this morning, put a load in WM and DW last night before we went to bed to share valentines gift :kisses2:so hung out load this morning and emptied DW. Another load in WM at moment, cleaned worktops and thats the kitchen done.
Expecting four different parcels today, hope they all come this morning...not while I'm in the bath though! Going to walk into town and do all the things I was meant to do yesterday!! Definately going to do the ironing that I have been saying I'm going to do for the last couple of days oopps. Also need to pop to tescos to pick up a bit more veg also going to see if I can blag some free flower buckets for veg growing...hoping they'll have so many in store from yesterday that they'll be giving them away. :heart2:
Aims for today and tomorrow is to clear dinning room so that we can use it again (been out of use for about 3 weeks) and sort through boxes that I had packed for storage....going to be ruthless and ebay/charity shop anything that we really don't need to keep.

Morning all :hello:
Bit late into work this morning - fell asleep last night with all my clothes on and without setting my alarm, and didn't wake up until 7:30 (which is actually quite good going for me without my alarm!) and, as I would normally leave the house sometime between 7:35 and 7:50, it was a choice between having a shower and being a bit late, or NOT having a shower and being on time. I went for the clean option- TBH I didn't feel too grubby but my hair was really manky!
Anyway, in the last 2 days I've done a total of 6 hours more work than I'm paid for, so don't care.
So knackered last night I didn't even cook properly - had a bag of tortellini in the freezer so just had that with pesto and the remains of a bag of Lidl mixed salad. And a whole bottle of red wine
Shouldn't be spending too much today - had a McDonalds voucher for a free coffee when you buy porridge (yeah I know it's only oatso simple and I could do it cheaper at home but I was already late, remember?) so got porridge with jam plus a latte for 95p all in. Lunch will be free as well, as there's a gorgeous takeaway South East Asian place near my office where I treat myself to lunch about once a week/fortnight, and I've finally built up enough stamps on my loyalty card for a free meal :j :j :j
Hope I will be awake enough to do that stir-fry this evening - it would be a shame to see all those veggies in my fridge go to waste while they're still all nice and crisp. Does anyone know if celery works in stir fry?
Hope your DS feels better soon TM
Wonder where Penny-Pincher has got to this morning? Or have I just missed her post?
More later

More to the point, you lot will all think I had an ulterior motive in posting a photo of me last week:rotfl:
(ps Squeaks - i'd be honoured if your greeting WAS for me - as would the rest of us, i'm sure)
All right, I'll own up.

pennypincher did say she was away.
I woke early for me today, but i'm feeling a bit grotty. a bit sicky without actually being ill. I haven't been able to face breakfast yet which isn't like me at all.
Made a gorgeous meal from an improvisation recipe. I fried some onions, and some chopped up chicken, added juice from some chopped up pineapple and the blended pineapple. Then added some water and sugar to make a syrrupy sauce. I added chopped carrot and red pepper. Then served with boiled rice and peas. It was rather tasty.
It was sort of like a recipe from one of ainsley harriots books for stuffed chicken breast, where he uses spring onion and pineapple to stuff a chicken breast, and then cooks it in the juice with added sugar to make a sticky chicken breast. I was going to do this then realised the chicken was a bit small.
DH was over an hour late home, so it went a bit mushy, but still tasted good.
It's my mums birthday today, so i guess i will visit later when she gets in from work. Otherwise, it will depend on my stomach, which may just about be able to manage something to eat - but i don't think is up to running around.
Pedometers- mine was free with flora last year, and is ok. I had a mcdonalds one before that. My one before that was from a sport shop, and i didn't like it because it kept resetting. Before that, i had a WW one, which i found good, but my friend had one and she didn't like it. I guess i liked it because it gave you free steps for pulling trousers up and down, and twisting.0
