  You are one brave Fairy :rotfl: I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
Can't believe it Sunday already - where does the weekend go toIts freezing here as we must have run out of oil last night. Kids are snuggled up on the sofa under their duvets watching a DVD. OH still in bed. A bit fuzzy headed this morning, we were at a wedding reception last night- a good night and and good catch up with folks I haven't seen in ages - normally only do at Christmas and weddings! We got home around 1am, but I was WIDE awake, ended up reading to around 4am and then woke up with kids at 8. Don't know whats up with me, I normally don't have this problem, its usually lack of sleep that's the problem :rotfl:
General outdoor tidy up today, weather permitting - trailor needs taken to dump to be emptied and outside needs a good clear up. If grass is dry enough we may run the mower over it too for the first cut, (i especially HATE this job - even ironing is preferable to it :rotfl: )
Ironing needs done too - uniforms etc...
Well, must go and get the nippers ready for Sunday School.
B:Porridge - to warm us all up
L: not sure, possible scrambled eggs and beansAt my mums yey!
Have a nice relaxing Sunday everyone. Hugs to all who are unwell, or who just need a hug!0 -
Morning everyone
A lovely lazy start today - even though I was woken at 6.15 by DS2. We just had breakfast then all climbed back in my bed where I read and they watched tv. I've even just managed a long hot bath without DS2 wanting to climb in
Mr TM is back about tea-time, so will have to make something 'proper' but that will keep if he's delayed. May do spag bol because the boys love the garlic bread that goes with it too:) I've a load of washing on the airer that needs putting away and another load in WM waiting to be hung up. I want to clean the kitchen and dust downstairs today.
And guess what - I had one of those 'forehead slapping' moments last night, when I realised I could watch a dvd on the PC and do all the sorting out at the same time  So, I've filed paperwork (ok, there's still a pending box, but at least it's away) and armed with a damp microfibre cloth, I've cleaned everywhere in here - a room full of books, papers and a PC gets awfully dustyTook me the whole of 'Meet the Fockers' to move everything and wipe it down
Ok, DS1 is stating that it's 'his turn' on here, so I'll go and dry my hair and get on. Have a good one, everyone :j0 -
Hi everyone,
Love reading this on a Sunday.
So far today I've got my ingredients prepped for lentil and ham soup, really thick with loads of pulses etc. Prepped everything for dinner - roast chicken, spuds and veg. Made a batch of pancakes - all gone - kids couldn't resist and neither could I. Ironed a basket of laundry, two loads of washing done and on the airer (trying to cut down on use of TD got airer yesterday), tidied out the fridge and now I'm just going to have a cup of hot chocolate.
B - Pancakes and plain yoghurt and honey.
L - Pasta Pepperonata (Jamie Oliver recipe).
D - Roast chicken with roast spuds and veg.
Enjoy what's left of your weekend everyone. :-)“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -

Most of us are in bed because it is early on a Sunday morning. I'm off to work soon so I'm up.You can check out our local time here. I see it's teatime in your neck of the wooods.
The Mikado was excellent on Friday. Even though I had seen pictures on the website, and read the program it was completely different to what I expected. For some reason I thought they were pictures of another opera.
I was thinking it would be japanese sets and costumes. But they were all dressed up in 1920's outfits (think Agatha Christie) waving walking sticks, feather dusters and lacrosse sticks. The audience went oooooooooooooooh when the curtain went up. The music was good as well.
Was suppost to go to a tutorial yesterday but I bascially couldn't be bothered. The morning session was about something interesting but not really relevant to my assignments or exams, and the afternoon one was about something I'm not having too much trouble with so I thought I'd leave it. Spent my day ebaying and gambling instead. I did manage to cook a lamb stew in the slow cooker for my family's dinner which they ate without complaint.
Went out for a girlie curry last night. We were all driving so the bill was rather cheap. Restaurant was rather noisy though so couldn't hear any gossip.Got home just in time to be volunteered to take one of my brothers mates home.
Payday on Thursday and there is still money left in my bank account so I have treated myself to one of those Dunlopillo pillows from LX Direct. Found a £15 off code to contribute to it though and quidco cashback. :j
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday xxx0 -
Morning all
It's doing that pretend snow stuff here today - the stuff that looks like polystyrene balls that float about doing nothing!
Sat and listed 39 items on ebay yesterday - 7 on watch within the first 10 mins - hopefully a good start. Got them on a 10 day listing as we're away next weekend and I like to watch them finish and print my lables as they pay.
Have just printed off a voucher for Beefeater - 25% off - Will use that next Friday night when we go to our £10 travellodge room (we know how to live it up) Then we're off to Colchester Zoo for the day (curtosy of Tesco Clubcard deals) The whole trip should have cost £160+ and we're spending around £50 for hotel, zoo entrance, dinner, breakfast and petrol for 4 people......I can cope with that.
DH is still snoring, DD's have been up for hours, music thumping from their rooms! Will entice them to all get dressed in a bit - I want to go out for a while.
Brekkie - Toast and cereal
Lunch - Sandwiches
Dinner - Errmmmm.......I remember asking what everyone wanted yesterday so that I could get the appropriate bits from the freezer......not sure I got an answer.......oh well - bread and water!
Need to do some baking today, out of biscuits and muffins, anyone know where I can get mini muffin cases from???? I've looked everywhere round here but can only find the big ones.
Hugs to all that need them"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning all,
FF you have my complete admiration for holding that party
I think I have found the cause of all my back problems! I fell asleep on the sofa last night as DH was at work, I finally woke up at 4am and decided to toddle off to bed but couldn't really get back to sleep again. Finally got up around 8 and my back and hips feel so much better, my hip is never going to be great after falling down the cellar steps but I can move and the top of my spine is not burning this morning. DH made noises about getting a new mattress but I know he will object to paying out a huge amount so I think I will use my Tesco vouchers to get one from MFIOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all
I'm sat here in my towel, having just got out of the bath!!
Yesterday I made some lovely cherry and almond cupcakes, courtesy of my new Good food magazine - they are truly scrummy!!!
DD and DH are both downstairs - hopefully making bacon sarnies
B: Bacon Sarnies
L: DunnoPavarotti Pasta
General get ready for school and work day today, with a bit more washing, ironing etc etc
Take care everyone - byeeSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning all
OH went off to work at 6.30, I woke at 8, decided that I'd get up in 5 minutes & the next thing I knew it was 20 past 9!
Not too manic today, must go to the gym & Morrisons at some point, as well as do a bit of ironing.
Breakfast is a slice of left over apple tart & :coffee:
Lunch will be bubble n squeak - haven't had it for years, can't wait. Is 10 am too early for lunch? LOL
Dinner is roast chicken & the full works - OH wanted roast beef but chickens were only £1.99 in Tesco!
Finally received my letter from work yesterday confirming my payrise. Had been told it was £3.5K but letter said it was only 500 quid??!! Not a happy bunny, so fired off a quick email to my boss, who replied to say the letter was definately wrong & he'd sort it on Monday. Not a good week all in all, my expenses were forgotten about, I got stitiched up on my mobile personal calls (we have to make a contribution each month) & now no payrise as promised!
Make the most of Sunday while you can - Monday morning looms round far too quicky!0 -
Fake snowing here too and temp dropped-have put fire on in lounge.
May I ask a question please???
Ta!!
I have quite a large (2.5kg) unsmoked gammon joint in SC. Has been on high since about 7am and have just put to medium temp on SC. I have added 2 cans of stout and equivalent of 2 cans of water. The joint is not covered but up to 3/4 of it. Normally when I cook gammon they are smaller joints but never cover them completely with the fluids and just keep turning IYKWIM. How long will it take to cook roughly??
A smaller joint I leave on for about 6hrs and is cooked tenderly, but have never cooked one this size.
Thanks in advance.
