Phoned the 0845 number and the retentions number but they both say closed. If anyone knows how to contact them today I'd be grateful if they can let me know a number to call. Even the number on the site goes to a dead line.

I'll just phone myself first to ask what they can do then take it from there
    Thanx

PLUS NET are offering 3 residential packages for home phone & broadband. As they are established and have a good reputation, should be of interest. Not as cheap as the Primus Broadband offer but pretty good. The cheapest one is not worth bothering with as the BB part is very limited size. See packages here:

  • I've been with ntl braodband for a few years now. Last yr I told them I was leaving and they offered me the same connection for £9.99 a month instead of £17.99 a month.

The £9.99 offer has now ceased on my account, so other than telephoning ntl again, are there any good broadband providers out there??

I'm not really interested in an internet/telephone package. I'm happy with my telephone service.

Yes, have a look at Plusnet. They are a good company, UK based with 24/7 support at local call rates.

  • Looks ok, but I really need a wireless set up as my pc is upstairs and the bt fone line is downstairs. Don't really fancy paying a fortune for the box.

You really don't need to pay a fortune for a wireless/router nowdays and better to buy your own than go to an ISP specifically because they are giving a "free" wireless/router :)

Have a look on eBay. They normally have a good selection. If you don't like buying from eBay have a look at Kelkoo. This a a comparative shopping site. They will come up with a list of dealers and the selling prices for you to view.
