euro1net are very similar to e7 - whom aren't going down hill.... many unhappy customers, etc etc..... its mainly due to lack of profit on each connection to make the company viable
bt wholesale charge around the £9 mark to ISPs, so £10 doesn't leave much room for investment0 -
:j I was thinking of going with euro1net, but I think the pitfalls are going to be huge, what if it's rubbish and i've paid out all that money, tried talktalk they offered me the whole package for £30.99 which isn't any cheaper than i'm on now primus saver option2 / bt line rental/ plusnet.
so i dunno what to do, i don't want to get locked in with anyone, so i'm thinking sit tight and hold my horses for the time being and watch and wait and see what else comes along, maybe i'll get free bb from sky i'm paying them enough. T:j
Pls be nice to all MSer's
There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

geebeeone wrote:Madasafish might seem cheap for small users but if you want unlimited downloads with great reliability and service then Pipex is very hard to beat, and cheaper than Madasafish with no extra charges.
O.K. Madasafish does provide up to 8mb, but that is only if your exchange supplies it.Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -
computerwoman wrote::j has anyone heard of this company, euro1net.com
I saw this too - looks a very cheap deal indeed, especially for those that can't get unbundled to TalkTalk.
They always seem to have had a reasonable reputation for broadband, but recently users are reporting problems with the service, looks like capacity problems...

pipex are very good, they recently phoned me to ask if i wanted to go to their max sevice (8mb and phone package) for £25 a month (what i was paying for 2mb) they operate a bandwidth shaping system to stop bittorrent and p2p clients, so the service is very good (good for games).
i have never actually dealt with the customer service (only when i signed up from tiscali) they seemed to sort everything out when i signed up even though i didnt have a migration code.Katiep wrote:We are fairly light internet users at home, but we do use file sharing software for music, and only at peak times.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this; I had a quick look through.
On Martin's main article he states that Madasafish offers a 5GB download limit. This is not correct. The 5GB is a usage limit, including uploading.
I guess this won't be a problem for most, but if you use a Bittorrent client, you will need to be uploading as much as you download. I guess this might apply somewhat in online gaming too(?)
I was wondering why I was hitting the limit so quickly. Must remember to read T & Cs more thoroughly....0 -
If you decide to sign up with Madasafish, visit the referrals board where people are offering you upto £15 of the referral fee they get if you use their referral code, plus Madasafish will also give you £10 for signing up. That's the 1st 2 months broadband with Madasafish paid for!!0

Pretty sure that I got the name of these people from one of the lists on this site. They have a good web-site and nice people but the technical help is hopeless. I have never had to wait less than 30 minutes to get through and on monday I wasted more than 2 1/2 hours holding on - it took 3 go's. No service on Saturday or Sunday. Therefore, if things go down Friday afternoon (happened twice to me) you have to wait until Monday morning before you can get through then the call to them could take forever. Cheap but far too much hassle. Dont use them!0
