Thanks for that.
Any tips on who's better? Pipex seem to be a popular choice? We can't get the talk talk package in our area, so we're looking for something to go with our BT option 1 + Primus saver 2 tariff.0 -

As I mentioned in an earlier post I have looked at all ISPs listed on ADSLGuide and decided on Plusnet. Go to ADSLGuide and see what they say about Pipex. You can also compare a number of ISPs on the site.

I'd like to thank the Plain English Campaign for this article :-
"Talk Talk, the consumer telecommunications arm of Carphone Warehouse, has landed itself in hot water with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). Recently the company mounted a huge campaign advertising its 'free broadband forever' service for people who sign up to its home telephone package.
However, the ASA received over 40 complaints about the promotion, including claims that the service is not as widely available as advertised. Other complaints were that the term 'forever' was misleading, and that the service isn't really free as people have to pay for the phone service. Customers also have to pay £30 to connect their broadband access.
The ASA is still investigating all the complaints and will be making a decision soon. It goes without saying that one of the complaints they received was from us!"What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Free Orange Broadband (formally Wanadoo)
I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this already but Orange who were formally Wanadoo are offering free broadband (up to 8 meg depending where you live) for anyone who has a £30 or more per month mobile contract with Orange. You'll also receive a Livebox wireless modem and free evening and weekend calls to local and national landlines over the Internet. This is available to new and existing customers. The website is...
www.orange.co.uk/love
So if you're currently paying £30 for your current mobile contract already you might as well have a look! I can't see any small print. I haven't done it myself as the phone I want isn't on sale yet but it looks like a good deal for those that have the more expensive tariffs.
I hope this is helpful. xxx0 -
and there is the matter of a 2 year contract0

:j has anyone heard of this company, euro1net.com
http://www.euro1net.com/freebroadband/talkandsurf.html
its offering free BB/talk & surf there's a 50gb monthly usage, all calls to 01-02 are free, you still pay BT for your line rental but if you go whole bill direct debit quarterly, you only pay £10.00 per month, with BT as I do, the only catch I can see is that you have to pay up front for 18 months which is £179.83p plus £29.99 connection fee, the calls are capped at 70 mins, this works out about £1.00 cheaper than talktalk, I'm thinking of going for this one, has anyone got anything to say about it, thanks in advance for your help, T
