Amongst my details I printed out it lists my new email address as username@o2.co.uk. Is this set in stone or will I be able to choose my new email address?

Why not take this opportunity to now get yourself an ISP independent e-mail account e.g. gmail, yahoo etc? This make any future ISP switches painless and you can use your ISP's e-mail account as a junkmail account.

Where do I find the date that O2 broadband will be available? I've contacted O2 broadband by phone and was told it could be in the next few months, but I can't see this information and would like confirmation that it is soon, so that I don't hang on thinking it's imminent and it's 2010 or something silly..

the samknows website is as good a place to check as any....the llu operators keep sam updated.
so far as I know...even eco (02 employee) refers to samknows... you may have to wait 1 month..or it might be never

I have a hotmail email address but very rarely log into my account on there. Get too much junk on that too and mail that I do want going into the junk folder!

You seem to have missed the point! If you start using an O2 e-mail address now, it makes changing ISP at a later date a pain in the @rse, so get another ISP independent e-mail account.

I've had the same hotmail account since hotmail started (before microsoft bought it)..

I had a tidy up yesterday...but since then I have 4 messages in my junk folder (2/day)...maybe it's because I'm a bit careful about publishing it? maybe because I also have a yahoo address which I use when signing up to anything remotely questionable..that account is full of rubbish...but I only check in when I subscribe to something new..click the confirmation mail and ignore the account..
It may (or may not) also help that a have a couple of filters in place for obvious words

maybe someone knows better:j

I don't know if it's a silly question or not: can the IP be changed?

I thought all O2 IPs were dynamic?! dropping the session may be enough to get another...unplugging modem for 1/2 hour is very likely to get another..unless O2 have a long lease...in which case the dynamic IP is essentially static...

O2 called me because there was a problem with my line.
wondering if this will invalidate my quidco cash back?

Is it worth it placing a new order as it's back to 70£?
