eco21,
Any idea when the O2 systems will be back up running as I've been trying to sign up most of the morning and it keeps asking me to try again later half way through the signing up process.
Thanks

@andybed - I'm not in work today but will phone and see if there is any issues. I know the webserver has been playing up (webmail mainly) but never knew it affected the sign-up process. Will try and find out what I can.0

Does the McAfee require me to give them credit card details - or can I use it and let it die ( well not update) after 12mAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

Help on this one please. I've just signed up and connected to o2 broadband - wireless. I'm confused as to what my network key is. In the quick start guide it shows a wep code with 10 alpha/numerics starting with CB. When I reconnect to my wireless connection a small screen appears. This shows a network code hidden behind 8 dots. So what is hidden behind these 8 dots and how do I find out ?
Thanks in anticipation.0 -
@payless - no McAfee is free for the length of time you have O2 Broadband. Yeah, its a thomson router, pretty reliable routers tbh, so cant complain and easy enough to configure internally
@chrispbug - the WEP key is underneath the router, it is TEN characters long, a combination of letters and numbers. It sounds like the network key hasnt been entered correctly, tyoe in the the ten character one, thats the one you need0 -
2 questions...
missus is using company's work o2 mobile. can she get the o2 broadband discount? if yes, what do they actually need as proof?
does o2 broadband work with the draytek vigor 2820 router? i am currently using it on be*.0 -
Have just tried to swap to o2 again through Quidco but again their saying to try again as the system is down. I wonder if this is a way of stopping anyone else getting the £70 cashback. Maybe the pot of money set aside has run out. I bet there wouldn't be a problem if I tried to join via phone.
Has anyone manage to join online since yesterday lunch time?0 -
@durain - You can use any o2 mobile phone to get the discount, they only check it is an o2 mobile phone. No need for any proof, the number is the proof
O2 Broadband will work with third part y routers, we only need to give you 6 or 7 pieces of information and you set it up. If you can find where to enter these settings in the router you can use any router you want, we support our router fully as we know the ins and outs. If you dont use our router we cant run as many tests to see how to help you though
@andybed - what part of the signup process to? I havent heard that the systems are down and I now a guy on another forum who signed up yesterday night, I cant check this for you myself as my number is already in the database. It wont let me proceed.0
