@andybed - you could try and do it without entering youe MAC code, then ring up and give the MAC manually, as the other person didnt have a MAC so could be why it was successful but tbh it shouldnt matter honest you tried the signup on a different PC?
@saintlan - both routers have 4 ethernet ports aswell as wireless
@beachbeth - I use AVG - I had mcafee and it bloated up my system and treated me like I didnt know how to use the internet, no security is perfect. You will get O2 Broadband on the 16th but supanet will probably charge you til the 27th?
@redux - unfortunately I do not know how the exchange rollout is determined, a few people have asked upon this and is something i am trying to find out

The reason I asked was because I have had an email from o2 saying not to try 02 Broadband until at least half an hour after Supanet have stopped my Broadband with them. So have I got to make sure Supanet stop my broadband on 16th so I can then start with o2? Or can I start o2 broadband even if I still have the supanet broadband?0 -

Can anyone answer? Will o2 tell Supanet what is happening or do I have to tell Supanet to stop my service the day o2 are starting?0 -

Calm down dear, it's only a switch of ISP.
Your ISP should be switch on the day that you haver been told but you should confirm the cancellation of your old ISP and cancel the DD after switchover. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

well i can tell you what happened in my case swapping from metronet to o2
i asked for the mac code and told o2 this
o2 advised me when my broadband was being activated 22.12.2008
on that date my metronet was switched off and then i received notice that my o2 account had been activated
i proceeded to install the service via the disc o2 sent and all went very well
at a later date i did get in touch with metronet to confirm my account was now cancelled
so i would not worry everything will be fine:D0 -

Ok. Will do.:p
Just want it to all go smoothly on the day and not find out I should have informed Supanet of the date!
It would be just my luck if it all went wrong and someone said afterwards "Why didn't you do so and so?" or "You should have....." I just like all eventualities covered.:D0 -
Hi eco21:hello:
Could you please tell me approx date that NDBLH exchange code area is able to use O2 broadband on the standard or premium tariffs? Is that the date that says:21CN WBC status:RFS date set : 31/03/2009
If so, is this likely to change again because it was 18/11/2008
Not sure how good McAfee is, but is it possible to just go for the standard and use the McAfee for the laptop only?? Or do we have to have the premium and get McAfee on both laptop and main computer?
Thanks in advance for your help0 -

No we don't have sky tv and hubbie would rather stay with BT, so we need someone that offers cheap broadband with free wireless router. Where do I find the date that O2 broadband will be available? I've contacted O2 broadband by phone and was told it could be in the next few months, but I can't see this information and would like confirmation that it is soon, so that I don't hang on thinking it's imminent and it's 2010 or something silly..0 -
Amongst my details I printed out it lists my new email address as username@o2.co.uk. Is this set in stone or will I be able to choose my new email address?0
