Is it possible to pay my ISP bill by any other way than DD? I having been having troubles with bank charges and would prefer to pay O2 and Sky by some other way, then the banks will need to find excuse to steal my money from my account.Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0

o2 only allow dd for new customers.0

Taken the plunge and moved to 02 from Tiscali.
In the welcome email they say the Broadband package will be sent by courier and have to be signed for. Could somebody tell which courier they use, as I may have to do a reroute the package due to work commitments.

The courier they use is DPD http://www.dpd.co.uk/
It does indeed have to be signed for. THey sent me a text allowing me to choose a delivery date (although it did come a day later than delivery date but I think that was to do with the fact that I use the Tues straight after BH Monday) and they give you a link through email so you know when its coming.0 -
Hi, I have obtained a MAC code from virgin with a view to switching to O2. In the email from Virgin it states that "if you decide to use your MAC code and leave Virgin, you will lose your Virgin email address immediateley" on O2's site it says it will take about 2 weeks to set up a new account with them. Can you advise if Virgin will deactivate my account as soon as give O2 my MAC code or does this mean they will deactivate the account on the day of the switch. Ii don't want to be without an email account for 2 weeks
thanks0 -

It will be on the day o2 is activated on your line so yes, when the switch happens. Thats when Virgin confirms you are no longer their customer. Up until then and even when you have placed your o2 order, you are still using Virgin services therefore a Virgin customer.
Hope this helps. x0 -
For the definitive answer ask Virgin, but normally you would be paying for your virgin service till the switch takes place, and this will include the e-mail.0

I was out but luckily my neighbour was in and signed for it.
I wish Royal Mail could be just as fast.
At least your info will be helpful to others.
Thanks

That's okay sweety, anytime. Sorry it was a delayed response... I'm not as regular on MSE (work/uni) as I used to be so don't pick up on posts that quickly either.
Glad your router arrived on time and hope o2 broadband goes well for you.
