Hello peeps
....
Hope you are all ok ....
No ..... i'm not early " posting " for sunday , this is my saturdays " post ! " .... just to confuse you !
pippo - Lovely to hear that somebody is having a good year so far , with your money earnt and "lucky money " .....Well done for using it towards your debts....
flying_fresian - Don't worry about fridays totals , you have been doing a FANTASTIC job of adding up Januarys PAD totals......
jenchin66 - Thanks alot for taking the time to add up fridays totals ......i'm sure it's very much appreciated by us all......
Hopeful1 - I would like to think that you chose the relaxing couple of hours, rather than the housework
, while your little one was out but i've got a feeling that you probably didn't ! ...... they do say " a womans work is never done ! " .....
paulgonnabedebtfree - Hi, Nice to hear that you are ok ..... A little while ago you were sounding very " down " as everything seemed to be going " belly " up ..... I know it was a major setback when your van was off the road and you couldn't work and you had to increase your debt to get up and running again ......Hopefully by working the solid 4 weeks to clear your backlog , it will bring you a step closer towards getting " back on track " ..... Great news that you got the job that you quoted for , hopefully this means that things are now starting to " turn around " for you ...... Good luck with your " tracking " family tree , when you get the time ! ..... You being one of a handful of men on here , us ladies notice when " one is on the missing ! "
.... So you can " run " but you can't hide !!
.....
Maisie M - I wish my PAD could be like that every day , but unfortunatley it can't be ! ...... Well done on your NSD ....... Ooooooooooh Banana loaf , one of my favourites !.....
lupyloo - Hi ,Good luck with your payment a day , either large or small it's surprising how quickly it all adds up to helping us get to our goal of being debt free ..... Have just had a look at your other thread where you were looking for advive , if you post your SOA on there , as " RAS " suggested then people will , i am sure , be able to help you ...... It's great that you have decided that 2009 is going to be the year that you turn your life around .....As " joeyjimbles " says " nobody on this thread in particular will judge you , as everybody is really great on here
.....
tuppie - Very glad to hear that your interview went well ..... If you are offered the job next week , we will all be waiting to see which offer you accept ....... It would seem like the choice between money or happiness ........It would be great it you could acccept the job where you " feel at home " ......but , only if you can can afford to ......... Hmmmmmm ........ Decisions ..... Decisions.....
weebag - Great news that your skycard is now cleared...... Only wish my Biggie was on 12.9 % APR ! .....
dankosheemo - Free haircut and 30% off the colour is great! ..... Hmmmmmmmm am not sure about the HFC / Egg loan dilemma , perhaps somebody else could advise you (incase anyone missed it , post number 1050 ) .......
LondonAndy - I agree the PAD thread is fantastic motivation ..... Your " Lightbulb Moment " will certainly be a day to remember , but it's great to see that you are tackling your debt now ..... Well done....
Lelc - Sorry to hear about your car problems , just what you needed after Christmas.... Hopefully you will be able to get back on track when you get paid at the end of the month ....
Beencounting - Sorry to hear that that you are having a sh*te time at home at the moment ..... Hopefully when the family member starts paying you back some money , this will ease the " tension " with your O/H......
Money Fritter - Hope you feel better soon.....
bigbeff - Have you decided what to do about the holiday yet ?....
Here's my Good and Bad for today ....
The Good - Added £1 to my pot ....
Added 2p to copper pot !
The Bad - Had some jaffa cake bars today .... naughty !... naughty !but soooooooooo yummy ..... yummy !
Well it's another late one for me today ...... don't know why , but my sleeping pattern has" gone to pot " for the last week or so ..... It's around 6.30 ish on sun morning and i still haven't been to bed yet ! ....
So am going to have a quick showerand head off down the road to get a newspaper ! .....
Weather here on sat was lovely and sunny all day, it rained in the evening , but was not cold at all , we were forecast " storms " , so knowing my luck they will start when i pop out ! .....
Catch you all later....

dankosheemo wrote: »:j TOTAL PAD: £180.36 :jHFC have offered me an early settlement knocking £1,300 off my loan by Feb - anyone know if it's worth getting a top up on my Egg loan (lower interest rate) to pay HFC off early?
What a fab PaD - well done you!! :T
I was wondering why they are offering you an early settlement. HFC aren't reknowned for their generosity. (i know this from 1st hand experience  )
Have you tried to get them to knock off a little more? Will adding the 2 loans together increase the loan term very much? If it does, does the lower interest rate balance it out so you're not paying more in the long term?
I would say if the figures work out, to have 1 less debt is a fab. It does my head in that i have so many different things to pay out. Hope this helps a little
No PaD today for meI have had to start paying for a hire car again. A family member is sorting out a lease car for me, but it's taking longer than i thought. I need to keep money back in case i have to hire again this week. I would struggle to do my job and balance sorting out little one without a car. I am really walking on a tight rope at the moment. Hubby has thrown lots of change into the jar though
I managed not to cash it all in last week, so that's growing nicely.
Glad you're not hiding from us PaulYou're doing really well. Although you may be increasing your debt, you are very conscious of that and not being frivolous. Ultimately the extra added to cards etc is maintaining your lively hood. Keep posting even if you're not making any PaDs
Hope everyone is feeling healthy, happy and not too cold. Hugs to you allOne step at a time0 -
Today's payment..you've guessed it..PAD = £10.18:jI'm feeling very smug at the moment!!
but as missthrifty says it doesn't matter if it is pennies or pounds as long as we are doing something and making positive decisions we beat this:T

I hope that dankosheemo doesn't end up with that haircut Terri :rotfl::rotfl:
My PAD for today is £1.40 and the payments will be little ones until Friday when I get paid and can make a decent dent in the debt again.
On the plus side, I got my forms through yesterday for switching my current account to Alliance and Leicester, so I should soon hopefully get £100 from them for switching (It will take a couple of months I think) and maybe even my £50 from Quidco. As I will be closing down my old Moneyback account with Halifax, I will also be getting my Moneyback payment from them which should be £80ish. I have also referred my best friend to Alliance and Leicester for another potential £25 :rotfl: MSE has taught me well!!
Off to Asda later to get the food that we need for the week, but will be using vouchers I got from Ipoints, so hopefully will make it to the end of the week without using the £17 left in my groceries account. That will go as my final PAD before payday if I don't spend it!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday folks.
