  • Hi All

No PAD for me today, too much month left at the end of the money and been too busy in work to do any extras…grrr

Having a poo day today. Before Xmas a family member asked me to loan them some money. It was a very emotional request (loan sharks etc), and late on a Sunday night when he needed the money for the following morning. I somehow managed to get the money together (£3000), but inevitably this pushed me further into debt.

Haven’t had any of the money back yet, but do have a promise for monthly payments (£50) from the end of this month. My OH is seething, and thinks he should pay back more/quicker, but the trouble is I don’t think he can do much more than this anyway. Inevitably this is leading to arguments, which is something we’re not generally prone to, so it’s horrible.

The phrase ‘a rock and a hard place’ comes to mind….

Sorry for rambling guys, but thanks for listening.

  • Hi paybacktime

I think he does, but tbh, I think he's still in denial about his debt problems. This is part of the reason I'm reluctant to push for higher payments, as it might lead to nothing being repaid.

Didn't update yesterday as I was really busy. As well as my financial state I am also trying to get my house organised and it is proving more difficult than I thought it would. Anyway my PAD will be for yesterday and today and the Total PAD =£6.85

Total PAD for yesterday and today is £3
What is the pennies for date thingy please???
  • It's just adding the amount of pennies to match the date..So today your PAD could of been £3.17 (17th January) instead of just £3. It makes the payments easier to track on your statements and also for a 30 day month adds £4 odd to your overall payments.
