  • Hi Everyone

Can I confirm that my previous post was correct - Barclaycard's minimum payment last month was £51.00 with the interest at £54.15!!!!!!

I have just checked online and they have printed January's statement and I have been charged £54.04 interest so it's a good job I have been making PAD's otherwise the debt would have increased.

January's minimum payment is £69.00 with interest at a more reasonable £68.20 - Excellent a whole 80p off the debt!!!!!

    Anyhoo yesterday I paid £5.17 & today I have done £5.18.

    Total PAD £10.35

    EE

ETA - Sorry if anyone was confused by my pennies, I thought I had paid £5.16 yesterday but then remembered that was Friday. I blame my daughter's birthday party, the day flew by and I missed it!!!!

What a fab PaD - well done you!! :T

I was wondering why they are offering you an early settlement. HFC aren't reknowned for their generosity. (i know this from 1st hand experience  )

Have you tried to get them to knock off a little more? Will adding the 2 loans together increase the loan term very much? If it does, does the lower interest rate balance it out so you're not paying more in the long term? thinking-021.gif

I would say if the figures work out, to have 1 less debt is a fab. It does my head in that i have so many different things to pay out. Hope this helps a little
OoO thanks for advice Hopeful1 :D It's one of those things isn't it. In my head it makes more sense to combine the two and have one less thing wizzing out the ol' bank. I think it's come about after I rang HFC the other week just to see where my balance was at, when I'd be able to finish paying the lot and then the letter comes through yesterday. I've never missed a payment but wanted to increase my payments by something daft like £2.61 each month (to round up to the £s) but they said I needed to write them a cheque so I chewed their ears off a bit - not worth the postage!! :rotfl:

I think I may be making some calls over the next couple of days anyhows and see if Egg can do anything more me. Seems like a good opportunity but think I'd struggle to get the extra credit as Tesco won't even give me a BT card!

    Decisions decisions!

I hope that dankosheemo doesn't end up with that haircut Terri :rotfl::rotfl:
The colour's probably not far off! :rotfl: Lots of vibrant and crazy post box red colours (it's the only thing I could think of without offending too many people if I said MUFC :rotfl: )
! I didn't get the 30% discount in the end though! Apparently they only do that for midweek appointments! If I'd have known that I'd have shifted the appointment! Don't they know I'm a hardcore PAD member!? :rotfl:
