Hi all. I know there's BAD weather on the way but hard to believe as London is nice and sunny just now! I am SO glad it's the weekend. :j
Lupyloo- I wanted to say Hi, welcome and that this thread is very supportive. Have to echo what joey said - there is stacks of advice on MSE and some lovely people on here who are around to support you and keep you going!
I'm also new to the debt repayment journey so not great on advice - others on here are really good!!
I had my "Light Bulb Moment" on 01/01 - well actually, New Years Eve when my credit card said no to a round of drinks (!!) and I realised I had not got a clue what was on any of them....daunting adding it all up and working out a plan BUT it's a breakthrough moment. I have chosen to attack my card with the highest rate first. I will be a long journey but PAD and the thread are fantastic motivation. :T It's really helping me....
Andy's Good Stuff - work was cool this week, stayed in on the Wii again last night so a nice saving on the usual Friday night pub trip, its the WEEKEND and out witha good friend for her b'day tonight!!

I have the fascinating choice now of 1. ironing 2. washing the kitchen floor 3. Clean the bathroom or 4. Sit on my bum drinking tea and reading on here.

Had a great DFW day today and managed to get Amazon to give me a 5.9% LOB transfer for 3 cc balances with 15%+ interest rates!! So pleased to have it all on low LOB now. Just have to persevere now and get it paid off. My PAD is £39 for yesterday and today. That's over £100 extra paid off above the min payments this month so far. :T

Afternoon everyone. I've not posted for a couple of days - I'm just really busy at work which keeps me away from MSE and I've been working long hours so I'm knac'red when I get home.
Anyway no PAD for me at the moment. My exhaust fell of the car when I was driving to work the other day and it cost me just over £200:eek: to get it fixed. I don't get paid until 29 Jan (6 weeks without being paid due to Christmas) and I'm really broke. I just might have to use a bit more of the overdraft:mad: to get through the next 2 weeks.
Anyway I've only managed to catch up on yesterday's posts and it's really heartening to see the amounts that is being paid in every day.
Well done everyone and welcome to the newbies. I'm off to light the fire as it's turned a bit nippy. I hope it snows lots here and I can't get to work on Monday - yeah right, I can dream.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you in a couple of weeks.

hiya everyone! bad weather has hit the north west now - glad i am inside, warm and dry!
had a lazy day, slothed in bed until about half nine then eventually went to MIL's house for chat and cup of coffee. took DS1 for a quick bike ride before the weather broke & now just watching the boys battle on the wii.
no spend day today & £1.17 PAD. excited for next month as really going to start paying back the boys' accounts properly - have earmarked about 100 for larger debt & nearly 40 for the smaller one.

Have been really good today - no unnecessary spends at all:A and have been playing with snowball calculator to see if there is any chance of me being debt free before I'm 111 years old:eek:
seems like there is a chance if I'm really frugal for a while and keep up with :j PAD
As I've said before..this month has been exceptionally good in terms of money coming in:D but I'm not sure how I will keep it up
OH is self employed, doing handyman stuff and his earnings can't be counted on.
All I can hope for is that he doesn't cost me anything extra and doesn't use that damned cc:mad:
Sorry folks..I'm rambling!
What I wanted to say was an extra big Thank you to the op who suggested the date as pence idea...having spent the day totalling up debt:eek: I've realised just how long it takes some of those 'instant' payments to go through and the date/pence sure helps with tracking.
Think Martin should have another crusade about this, 'cos if our payments went through quicker we'd save even more on interest;)
Given it is my payday on Monday and I have a little extra in my pay packet I'm hoping to continue with some reasonable PADs :T Plus no water rates for me for the next 3 months, so that should help too:T
