    Hi lupyloo,
Welcome..this is a good place to start.
I'm sure people who are more expert at debt busting will be along soon.

Think you are going to have to be brave and start dealing with those letters and phone calls.
Might be best to make your payment straight to the debt that is most in arrears or the one that charges you the highest rate of interest.
    Good Luck

Welcome to all the newbies - tough as it may be Pippo is right and believe it or not you will feel a lot better once you've done it. The scariest bit is perhaps working out exactly how much you owe to whom and at what rate. Then you can work out a plan of attack - there is loads of info on MSE so get a large cup of tea/coffee and have a good read around. Then you can do your sums and put yourself in control - its a mindset thing and it will help empower you, really. And everyone has been in a similar or worse situation so don't think that anyone, certainly on this thread, will judge you - we're all love and support here.

£3.00 for me today. My old card now shows a positive balance of 91p but I think there's some interest to come off in 10 days time sow I will see how that goes. I'm still chuffed with myself for a. paying it off and b. doing it 6weeks ahead of my self-imposed February deadline.

Last night was lovely - kids even went to bed without a murmur. Have to confess that I fell off the wagon by having a glass of wine but it was only one so hopefully haven't damaged the diet too much. Off to walk to the gym right now - to pick up the new timetable of classes! I will go next week properly though! I will. Honestly.

    Have a lovely saturday everyone.

Oooh, another post for me and another PAD of £1 to Skycard for me as there was £1 interest from last month. Account now closed!:money:

Also, Halifax card just arrived - £3000 limit, 0% until Feb 2010 so loaded that !!!!er up!

The above has enabled me to clear 2 cards, and send 5 other cards down to balances under £120 (2 are under a tenner!) - These will now be the focus of my PAD.

Now I have one BIGGIE that is currently on a 12.9% apr. Will clear these other cards down and see if I can get a LOB deal on one of the paid off cards.

    I feel GOOD!

Hey everyone! Everyone feeling good today??

Woo I'm feeling good this morning as I see my CC's drop down a bracket almost so goes to show things are working out slowly! :T So I've updated my sig. and will update it all again when the rest runs away. The DD's are coming out with added extras which is fab so a break down for my PAD:

    Mint CC £45
    Barclaycard £50
    Virgin £84.36
    Candle holder £1
    :j TOTAL PAD: £180.36 :j

And to top it off I get a free haircut at Toni and Guy today plus 30% off my colour so savings there! :D No idea how much my car's going to cost to fix at the moment, I don't think the outcome's gonna be too rosey!

HFC have offered me an early settlement knocking £1,300 off my loan by Feb - anyone know if it's worth getting a top up on my Egg loan (lower interest rate) to pay HFC off early?

The sun's shining here people so feeling good. Hope y'all doing okio!
    xx
