Amex Nectar: What to do if you didnt get 6000 points!

Right here's the latest:
After 37 minutes of ringing I gave up, redialed and was answered :j
The advisor could not explain why I had had to wait but said if you ring again press '9'. The system does not recognise this and you will be transferred to a human being :T
I was then informed my first purcahase was on the 1oth of Jan and that a new policy was put in place rewarding the 6000 points on theaniversary on the first purchase.
Finally he explained this was done as the Nectar Amex cards were being cancelled immediately after card holders received their 6000 points - guess what I will be doing :beer:
