Sorry I haven't read the whole thread, but please don't feed the cat cold food straight from the fridge, it shopuld be fed @ room temperature lol0
-
Is there something wrong with feeding them it cold? She dosen't seem to mind REALLY. Also, if I was to feed it at room temperature, wouldn't I have to remove the opened sachet/can from the fridge for about an hour before I fed her?!0

If you want a the best food for her, stop feeding her tins & pouches and stick to the RC/hills;)0 -

I agree with MrsE
It seems at the moment you are feeding bulk wet food with the dry biscuits as a 'treat'. It should be the other way around where the dry 'complete' diet is her main food and you can then offer wet food as an occasional treat.
The majority of tinned meat (including trays/cartons/pouches etc) are highly refined/processed and equivalent to us eating chocolate and chips
They also have a high water content making them a rather unhealthy and expensive choice of food. I would highly recommend you either persevere with the Hill's you got from the vet (ask for refund if she refuses to eat it) or switch to the RC diet I mentioned earlier.
Try not to make too many sudden changes to her diet though as this could upset her tummy. Ideally you should phase it in over a 7-10 day period, although some cats are happy to switch sooner.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
She is definatly not on a main wet food diet! She gets 1pouch a day 1 1/2 max! I'll give her biscuits before I give her wet, and then if she keeps pestering me and trying to get me to fall over and break my leg, THEN I'll give her half a pack of wet to shoosh her.
I'm still persevering with the hills, if she dosen't touch it in the next week or so, I'll try RC and give the Hills to my nana, she has 7cats so one of them is bound to like it!0 -
Oh, I do apologise. I must have mis-read what she was previously being fed. Sorry“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

One or one & a half pouches is quite a lot.
I don't ever feed wet at all.
A treat is normally once in a while. If you keep giving her wet, you won't get her used to dry.0 -
Some cats can't have dry tho remember, mine can only have wet & has a good quality one, well two brands & does fine. Yep, you have to let it get to room temp once taken from the fridge. If your cat can have dried give her that 2x a day, it's good for their teeth, but they will drink more so as always lots of fresh water!0

Thank you to the money saver that posted a few months ago about the free neutering voucher!!!
Now I'm wondering what I can do to make my little babies feel better after this. What treats or new beding I could buy/make to help ease the situation for them.
My two kittens are both female and sisters from the same litter and are 5 months old now. I love them to pieces and I really dont want to put them through this but I know its for their own welfare that its done.
Any advice is welcome for my two beautiful kitties..
A cute pic from a few months ago. Missi is the tabby and Suki is the black and white.0
