oh and i had all the blood tests with Chris and none of the results were given to me verbally, in my notes, in a letter nothing! good job I'm in the would keep it anyway camp!
I was the same here in terms of never hearing the results by way of phone or letter. Thankfully the MW did tell me that as we are dealing with the NHS, no news is good news, so I wasn't too worried when I didn't receive anything back after my 12 week bloods. Just asked MW at 16 week appt if all was okay and she went through them again then.
I will have my 28 week bloods done on Monday at the hospital and no doubt the same with happen again.
Anyone got any idea as to whether Ketones show in blood??? I had them present in my sample a few weeks ago and wondered if they would show up in my blood if they were still a problem0 -

I have also so far failed to find a shop that can sell me a 30G bra ..so I'm already dreading trying to get bras as my boobs expand...a trip to Bravissimo or John Lewis is definitely called for this Christmas! (Sorry, moan over!) I have been warned that the doctors here do not like you to put on much weight when you are pregnant, so I suspect that this is where the advice stems from....
its perfectly normal to be 2stone heavier by the time your due
Are you in Belgium? or did I make that bit up?0 -

I presume "something" would be in your blood too but I doubt they'll be testing for it, My notes say 28wks blood test is for "antibodies if Rh neg" next test excluding the RH neg ones is 34/36wks full blood count and other variety of antibodies
ta Sami, i really have no idea so very grateful
i just hope i decide to let them have some blood as i dont give it up easy :rotfl:0 -

I had ketones in the last sample they asked for. I took another sample along when I went for the scan, and they were happy to take it. Perhaps you could take one along with you, and ask them to look at it?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
FG I'd second that... it's a simple dip test so really easy for them to test for... if they are worried though I have no doubt they will ask you for a sample to test itDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Unfortunately I wont be able to do so as I am having my bloods taken at the hospital at the part where all they do is take your bloods.
I honestly must book a doctors appointment for something else and if i do that, then i think i will take up your suggestion and take a sample with me then.0 -

Are they in the same hospital, the blood bit and the antenatel bit? Could always stop off on the way/way back. I like to give samples to anyone who'll take them :rotfl:
I'm in pain - turns out shopping is heavy! Bump is really achy now, so I'm sitting down.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Dont think I can becuase I normally see the MW at my surgery and have only been to the maternity bit of the hospital for scans and consultant and they accepted a sample when i had an appt with the consultant..
Good idea though.
I do need to see the doc so I should use the sample as another reason to make myself do it.0
