I'm sulking (pathetically).. we're having a fry up for tea and I can't have dippy fried eggs
Don't know whether to have a solid fried egg or scrambled egg instead.
I've managed to wangle two invites for tea at my parents this week - hurrah! Stew and dumplings tomorrow and steak pie and chips on Wednesday. OH won't come with me tomorrow - too many veggies in the stew for his liking! - so I'll get double helpings or poss some for lunch on Tuesday!A week for lifting my iron levels, methinks!

I have to say that everyone is entitled to whatever they feel happiest about but I will be heading to hospital myself
several reasons:
I don't like the idea of a home birth, it's unhygenic in my view (I have some odd views about hygine btw - not that anyone has dirty homes I'm just saying that for some reason my brain has decided it's unhygenic to give birth at home!)
IF there are complications and I need to be rushed to hospital the nearest one is about 15 minutes away IF you remove all traffic and you are on blue lights and two tones... provided the driver is brave and you have a tail wind... seriously! Other wise I am 20 minutes from an A&E let alone maternity wards.
It is always a possibility the amublance can't get to you in 7 minutes (or what the current government guideline is) - especially here as we live right next to the M40... if there is a multiple car crash then the nearest ambulance could be 15+ minutes away if we're unlucky. That's just how it works - if all ambulances are busy then they have to pull them in from sorrounding areas and if THEY are busy too then there isn't much they can do...
It's my first baby and I'd rather have a full medical staff minutes away if I pull that cord hard enough that it comes out the wallnot to mention access to all the lovely drugs should I find that I need them
And last but not least - if the weather turns nasty there is the possibility that the MW won't get in to our village when we need her! At least we have a huge 4x4 so we can get OUT to get to hospital!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

im so annoyed.. OH dads said he'd take him to coach station so that they'd get to spend an hour together having a catch up (hes dads been a pretty useless father but now he knows about his grandson he all of a sudden what to be there) and he made him late so hes only just getting on the next coach now grrrrrr... means he wont be home til 12am... hes dad always does this it really annoys me everytime OH gives a little he screws him over or is just late ... sorry for the rant but if hed got on his coach hed be half way home by now... im really missing him and once again im very cross (to say the least) with his dad again... and that he wonders why OH doesnt have much to do with him .... sorry rant over x

You mentioning ice cream reminded me.. I bought Artic Roll earlier! Want to see if it's as good as it was 20 years ago! Need to wait for the huge fry up to go down first.. couldn't eat it all so I've got some for supper too0 -
Thanks weezl there is loads of info on that site! too much for my brain to cope with all at once. Tbh I would prefer to go to hosptial (midwife lead unit) last time I arrived at 9.15pm and was at tesco picking up a pack of bacon at 2.15am (lol felt a bit hungry on the way home
) Although by the time dd2 arrived the midwife hadn't even read my notes  I recall mentioning that the baby was coming... and she told me not to panic but that she needed to use the alarm to get some help :rotfl:
Thinking rationally I have had 3 pretty uncomplicated births so I know that I shouldn't worry about the slim what if's... but I am a worrier by nature
(hugs) searching - I am just going to make some chips (one of my favourite comfort foods since I have spent the last hour feeling wound up) I am happy to share if the ice cream doesn't do the trick0 -

Was musing over my decision for a home-birth and I feel like I am having second thoughts about it....who else is having one???
My concerns are more over the boys seeing/hearing me in pain than anything going wrong!! I just don't know what to do :undecided

I'm another home birther. To me it's the logical decision - I want as little intervention as possible, have no intention of drugging my baby up with pethidine and the like, and would much rather be at home.
I understand why others prefer hospitals, but to me they seem dirty - at least I know my home is clean and it's where i'm comfortable.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

What kind of eggs did you go for Elle? I'd of had dippy egg... I had one on my bacon sandwich Saturday morning actually....
I'm stuffed full of scouse at the min, not made one in ages and it's one of Aimee's fave dinners too... Enough left for lunch tomorrow too, yummy! Nearly finished decorating the living room... After the hours it took hubby to do 2 walls last night we started a bit early and I've helped him a bit more.... Actually, done all the cutting in and the first coat so really he's just helping me by doing the second coat... Hmmmm....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Well, I'm looking forward to drugging my baby up on pethidine, at least I get a rest afterwards if he is all sleepy!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
