Don't ask but being as I have a tonne of reports to do... I figured that the most urgent thing in the world was cleaning the inside of my patio glass doors??? I hate cleaning windows and they haven't been done for a LONG time so WHY on earth were they SO important they had to be done right now????

  • Good morning ladies - sorry for disappearing over the weekend - we were very busy in the Pickle house.

Thanks to all the ladies who supported my emotional explosion on Friday night. I was a bit of an exhausted, soppy mess which resulted in unreasonable behaviour on my part (arguing with OH over something silly).

We sorted everything out and I apologised for getting so upset and he apologised for being a tad insesitive.

He said that our row was a bit of a wake up call in regard to how my life had changed and he said that he hadn't really thought about what changes had already happened for me in respet of our social life / my working life / my hormones etc. And he went on to say that if it were him, he'd have failed a long time ago to keep it 'together'... :o

I think a scream and a cry was what I needed on Friday TBH. I felt a lot better for it.

Rest of the weekend was gorgeous and had a lovely day yesterday findin out that three of my cousins are due this year too! Happy days!

I'm off to catch up... love to all...
(special thanks to Mrs T... your post gave me a little bit or rationality!)

    Awww you're welcome hun :)
Men can be beasts but sometimes they're not as bad as we think - they just don't think ;) And if like me you can struggle to actually make your feelings clear then it can get real tricky :) We're lucky we found a way to communicate that I can handle :)

Ladybird - how are things with you today? I had my watersbreaking dream again last night. I know it's just an anxiety thing, but as time goes on it's getting more and more real

Not bad - MW has just been to sweep me again - owwww!!! Apparently I'm 1 more cm dilated than I was on Friday though, which is not bad considering I've not had any "real" contractions, only BH! She said baby is in just the right place, and can't drop down any further without falling out, so it's just a matter of keeping upright and mobile and waiting for it. And if not I'll toddle off to the hospital on Thursday for my induction (She reacons they will just break my waters, and that will do the trick.)

Sounds like you're keeping yourself busy - don't overdo it! Since I've been off, I've been trying to set myself realistic targets each day - trying to keep on top of washing up and washing, and then doing 1 or 2 extra bits. And having a nap is included in the list of "things to do" as well. Today I need to have a tidy up in the kitchen, finally take down the christmas tree, and go buy some loo roll before we run out! We went to the supermarket yesterday, but there is always something you forget, and unfortunately that one is kind of crucial ;)

Thought i better come on and say hi! thanks for the messages but you got me started again lol! things still all over the place, had really awful night getting into such a state and then Charlie decided to scream all night. so spent the night in his room as if he could see me he wouldnt scream. got to bed at 7am only to be up 45 mins later. managed to act normal for the kids getting them ready etc but Charlie threw the calpol bottle smashing it everywhere and i broke down.

have got MW this afternoon so going to cancel the HB and speak to her. i feel so lost and alone right now. he keeps trying to talk but i just dont know what to say and cant stop the tears.

all i can say is thanks for the support girls, you are all amazing and i will try to nipon later when i get a chance. take care of all they bumps and yourselves xxxxxxxxxxx

  • Morning Lay-dees :D

Well that will teach me for not logging in for a weekend - It has just taken me nearly 2 hours to catch up (and I skim read some of it).

First of all BIG BIG (((HUGS))) to Caz - you know that we are always here to be ranted at sweetie.

Welcome to the newbies - it's especially nice to see a dad on here (if you can stand the moaning about our hubbies!)

Feelie - glad to hear that baby is fine (stubborn as hell but fine!) - hope the headaches, blurry vision and BP are doing okay.

astroming - hiya! Keep posting, we like to know what everyone is up to.

Labour vibes to Ladybird, MacSmiler and anyone else who needs them!

We got married in a cave :D and my dress was from Laura Ashley at a whopping £80.

After saying we had a busy weekend planned I ended up in agony on Friday night with some crampy-type pains. They calmed down a little with paracetamol and rest although being shouted at by my hubby because he wanted to take me to the maternity department didn't do much for my emotional state. But there were no signs of labour and baby was moving so I couldn't see the point of trecking down there for them to tell me to rest...

So we spent the rest of the weekend taking it pretty easy, although having said that I managed to clear out loads of crap that I have been lugging from house to house since I left home 14 years ago!!

  • bunmblebee87 how are you doing? have you got your scan tomorrow like me?
I feel like a complete nervous wreak i don't think it's the internal scan that is making me nervous now but what they may or more to the point may not find! I can't help but think it is all over for me. I did feel more positive over the weekend as i only had light spotting but today it is a lot more and i have a dull ache in my side a bit like a stitch but not as strong. I have been balling all AM got to pick ds up now all red faced and puffy.

Either way this time tomorrow i will know. I am packing a bag just incase. In the hope that i won't need it really.

Caz - glad you popped in this morning. I think kids sense when we're uneasy and it makes them uneasy as well. Just focus on yourself and the kids and take care of yourself!

Well, 10wks along and I finally had to give in and put some maternity clothing on. Not much showing at all, but my trousers were soooo uncomfortable across the belly, and I was just sick of wearing track suit bottoms! I at least feel dressed now, rather than feeling like I'm schlepping about in pajamas all day!

Labour vibes to all who need them!!!!!
