    morning ladies.

Caz - how are you this morning hun??? I'm around if you need to chat x

Lil'monkey - Hello and welcome. I'd say go for it if you and your OH feel ready :D

Ladybird - how are things with you today? I had my watersbreaking dream again last night. I know it's just an anxiety thing, but as time goes on it's getting more and more real

Had a lovely weekend. Friends came for SUnday lunch yesterday and the men helped move some furniture around so the house is feeling more organised. FIL is popping over at lunchtime to fit a new light in the kitchen and then this evening we are off to collect my glider chair and stool.

Planning a quiet week, with lots of naps, although I keep thinking of things to do! Poor Hubby has got flu, but gone to work anyway (men!) so feeding us lots of soup, multivits (I didn't tell him it's a pg one :D ) and hot honey and lemon. Last thing I want to do is catch it
Ooh just noticed your from Edinburgh, we are going up in Feb, I cant wait, I love it up there.

AF I have to say my first thought about that was "well it IS the Sun..." :)
However it was closely followed by "how utterly selfish of them!" - sorry but even IF the pregnancy is successful then what kind of a life is that child/children going to have? Chances are it won't live long due to the strain on the heart and organs but SHOULD it make it then it will always be viewed as a "freak"... who could knowingly do that to a baby? Sorry but I think it's plain selfish and cruel of them... :(

Been here now for about 4 - 5 years and I love it, although I was born here many moons ago. I do hope that you enjoy your trip to the wedding. :D Although I recommend thermals ;)

Right - well have a busy day ahead - lots of reports need to be completed - have meetings and calls all day tomorrow and a massive meeting on thursday about 3 and a bit hours away by car - have no intention of staying over though as struggling to sleep as it is - being in a crappy hotel and a strange bed is NOT going to help me sleep so I'm going down first thing then back straight after the meeting again...
Roo was up kicking like mad again lats night - was gone 2 before she settled so I look like death warmed up today! Feel like it too...
She then woke up at about 7:30 and started kciking again... this is not boding well for the next 18 years!
Right have 3 things to post that sold on ebay this weekend - good healthy start to the baby fund - should be over £70 after all fees and posting :) (I hate Ebay fees!)

It's an either / or situation. Either you take two weeks of your hol entitlement and stay on full pay, or you have one or two consecuative weeks (but not one week, then go back for a bit then have another week off) on paternity pay. The majority of guys at our place do everything they can to avoid dropping down to SPP for two weeks!

We have guys who work shifts and do lots of shift swaps in advance then call the favours back in just after the birth to enable them to get the time off they want, or day engineers who get five weeks hol and then another 92 "credit hours" a year to use as they wish - two more 40hr weeks hol, usually. My OH is on this system so will be using his hols (I just get five weeks hol).

My hub gets 2 weeks paternity leave on full pay - doesn't have to take any hols for it :D However, he is looking for another job, as he is under threat of redundancy (was meant to be made red on 31st Dec, but had a call offering him a project for a few months a couple of days before he finished) - in which case he gets nada, I believe. (But we will have the yummy redundancy payment, as he has negotiated with work taht he can still leave under his red terms if he gets an external job offer :T )

Oh yeah, there's something I meant to ask... do you have to have the drip thing in the back of your hand, and is there an actual metal needle in it? Those things scare the life out of me!

I had one in for 2 and 3 - and expect to have one in for 4 because I had emergency c/s with no 1 - therefore they 'prep' you with one here just in case you need to be rushed. However, if you have a normal first delivery without complications or any complications in prior deliveries tehn you don't get one. (Muddled, but I know what I mean, hopefully you can follow it too!)

I'm glad to read about the condoms from family planning.....How long do you think they would supply me with freebies, I don't really want to go back on the pill after having this baby.
Firstly because I haven't decided how close I want the gap to be for number 4. after which dh may get the snip or I may get sterilised or both!!!!!
Secondly The pill was suddenly not agreeing with me and I changed to about 3/4 different ones before I decided to come off them and have this baby.

So anyway my plan was use condoms...as much as I don't really like them! But I really don't want to have to buy them.

    Mel x

You get them for as long as you want/ need them. Here you have to see teh nurse at teh fp clinic for your first batch of them, and then you can just ask at reception, cos it's not as tho' they need to weigh you etc for them. And they always give you LOADS!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
