Don't ask but being as I have a tonne of reports to do... I figured that the most urgent thing in the world was cleaning the inside of my patio glass doors??? I hate cleaning windows and they haven't been done for a LONG time so WHY on earth were they SO important they had to be done right now????

    Blooming hormones!
:rotfl: same reason I always end up scrubbing the bath at 1am! :p

I'm relaxing while dinner is cooking in the Remoska, watching a cooking show - they are making some fancy desserts that I will probably never make.:rotfl:Do ordinary people really do all this fluffing about in the kitchen that some of these cooking shows do?

yes - every evening meal we have three courses of fine, fancy food with matching wines - don't you:confused:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :p Only joking - I can't imagine people do fancy cooking that much. I love to cook, but save the fiddly stuff for when we have visitors, although we did have people round for a big sunday lunch yesterday and I called them all up and said that as I was very pg they had to bring something with them. One brought a starter, another salad, another pudding so I just had the roast and trimmings to do, which was easy enough and doesn't fall intot he fancy catergory. Watching TV shows is good for getting ideas - I like to adapt to my own taste - make it easier/cheaper etc.

    I'm a bit of a monica :p

My biggest fear at the moment is that I'll go into labour and the house will be a tip/the washing basket is full/I need to hoover/the dishes need to be done *insert item of housework here*

I figure that it'll be a good way to pass early labour though ;)

Our MW did say though that when she visits after baby is born, if the house is tidy she'll be checking that it was my hubby/mother/in-laws that are doing the cleaning and not me :rotfl:

    HI ladies,
I have managed to read through most of the last days of posts but can;t remember what i planned to say to who about what..
cazboob - i do hope things work out between you and your OH, if he's willin to talk maybe just sit down together and see what happens, even if you don;t feel ready to talk straight away you might find the words when you get going? either way, my thoughts are with you and if i lived any closer I'd pop round with biscuits and we could have tea and a blub together.

My end, I'm at work today feeling absolutely terrible as I have the most horrendous insomnia at the moment, I go to bed exhausted and sleep for 1-2 hours and then need a wee and then i'm awake the rest of the night. I've suffered with Insomnia for years on and off and been on various sleeping tablets over the years but i doubt there'll be abything i can take while preg is there? I jsut don;t want to work today, I can barely concentrate or keep my eyes open....

oh and going back miles back in the posts, talking of weddings we got married in Nov 2007 and the wedding cost a hell of a lot of money but it wasn;t even so much through my choice, my mum had a tiny wedding that she hated and i think she wanted to have a huge expensive do so we just went with it seeing as she was paying. It was gorgeous though and I wouldn;t change it for the world as we had an amazing wedding and honeymoon and it'll probably be the last really flash holiday we'll have in a long time! What i wouldn't giev to be on a beach in the Maldives now.....fast asleep....

    Aww Mic_C he's adorable!

Ooh I have just spoken to the 'solicitors' dealing with my claim and I should hopefully receive my cheque by the end of the week :j

I'm really trying to get OH to not buy the Alfa, he cant even get insured on it, he told me he only had 2 driving convictions, but oh no, he's got no less than 6
So I am going to get myself a car anyway with the money and if he wants to waste his money buying the Alfa he can, sod him.

I am getting so little sleep lately, he has to call me in the mornings to make sure I'm awake
DS doesnt wake me, so he can sneak down and use the comp for the cbeebies website!
    :j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j

TTC - i would add that you should make sure you've had your immunity to rubella checked. If you aren't immune then you cannot conceive in the 3 months after the jab because it can cause severe deformity and m/c. Always best to check and get the jab if necessary.

Can I ask where you got this info from?
I had the MMR less than a week before conceiving, nobody asked me if I was ttc when I had the jab and I asked if it might affect the baby when I saw MW and was told no. My baby had no signs of probs on either 12 or 20wk scan so I assume it's fine but just thinking its a poor do if what you say is true
or is that just the single rubella jab
rubella antibodies is checked in the booking in bloods if that means anything

i was told i wasnt allowed to conceive for at least 8 weeks after having the MMR (i had it after giving birth last time) as the rubella part of the vaccine is a live vaccine, so if you did get pregnant while the rubella was live in your body, it could give bubs rubella
  • Got my performance review now. I am so scared but trying not to get too scared... wish me luck ladies...!!!
